Who else is going to be glued to ABC tonight? (Lost)

First a new Lost then a 2 hour Alias premier. I have watched every episode of Alias on DVD in the past 2 months, the last 21 episodes of last season since Sunday. I know I'm a dork, but those are my 2 favorite shows. Who's with me?
I'll actually be spending more time tuned into ABC tonight than the past 2 nights combined.

I've heard that Alias is hard to get into if you haven't seen it from the beginning of the season. Is that true?

I don't watch Lost or Alias, but I can't wait for "24" to start!
This is probably a good time to give Alias a shot. Most everything got cleaned up at the end of last season so it will start pretty fresh tonight. I guess tonights episode is supposed to kick ass so you might want to give it a shot to see if you like it. You can always rent the first 3 seasons if you get into it and want to catch up.
I was never able to get into 24 so to each his/her own. :p

Man was that a disappointing night. Lost was pretty boring and Alias may have jumped the shark. I'm sure Lost will pick up, next week looks better. Alias really worries me. They basically threw out everything that has happened on the show over the past couple years and are starting over again. I'm trying to figure out how many times they can have one character tell other characters that she hates them and will never talk to them again, but end up getting along fine in an episode or 2. I hope it gets better over the next couple weeks or it isn't going to last much longer.
On a bright note Carnivale starts up on HBO on Sunday.

I agree with you on Lost. I told my wife that last nights episode was the first one that kinda sucked. Even though we learned more about Kate nothinhg happened. Everyone one was going around like nothing happened to the missing girl.... I hope it get better next week.

Hey, at least they have guns now.

I tried watching Alias, as I've never been able to get into it before, but I finally gave up about 45 minutes in. I wasn't impressed.

24 rules, I can't wait for that. On a sidenote, has anyone heard whether or not Deadwood will be back? Or when? And please don't tell me I've been missing it for the last month...

Just this past week, either Sunday or Monday night (forget which), HBO started re-airing the first season of Deadwood from the beginning, they usually don't do that unless they have a new seaon ready to roll out shortly after the new season of the one currently running (Carnivale) ends. Deadwood has been getting some decent critical praise so you would hope that it will be given a decent run at least. On a side note, I watched a show on the History channel called "Wild West Tech" that went over the history of the Deadwood territory. I didn't realize that all of the characters in the show were real people (I obviuosly knew that Wild Bill, Calamity Jane, and Seth Bullock were actual people). The show did a short profile on the real Al Swearingen and what a bastard he was in life. Hell, even the names of the two whore houses are historically accurate.

P.S. I can't wait for the new season of Carnivale to start Sunday. Could there be more questions that need answered heading into this?

Deadwood was great. loved it.

But what the he!! is Carnivale? Never heard of it.

Watched alias for the first two seasons....thought it was really good. One of the few programs my wife was into that i decided to give a try. Didn't see any of last year though....

Loved the first 24...never watched after that.....felt to lost if i missed one episode.

I wish there were more Autopsy shows on HBO...those are interesting.

Season 2 of Deadwood is in production. I think I even heard a commercial notifying viewers that it would be coming back in February, March or April (can't recall for certain).

I enjoy Lost (although last week's episode was a little slow), Alias (the first 45 minutes were more entertaining than the last), 24 (there's already controversy over the plot for the new season), and Carnivale (different than anything else HBO has to offer - great show!)

I must be the only one that didn't like Carnivale. My wife loved it but I just couldn't get into it. It seemed like nothing happened... I kept waiting and waiting and nothing exciting happened. Deadwood was great.... It must own the record for number of cuss word in one hour... every other word was fuck this or fuck that.
