I know that we all dislike Maurice for good reason, but let's not be devoid of common sense. Someone will take a flyer on Clarett this year on the first day. The Patriots admitted that they were ready to take him in the second round last year before he was ruled ineligible. I would not be shocked if he was taken in round 3.

Yeah, but that was only a year removed from his playing in the NC game, and before he started this other shit. Not it's been two years since he's seen the field, not one...not to mention his additional antics.

The unknown with Clarett is his conditioning. The last anyone heard of him, he was "training" in Texas after showing up in absolutely no condition to be drafted last year. If he shows up (or fails to show up) for the combine at a puffy 250lbs and out of shape, he doesn't get drafted at all. If he shows up in shape and runs a decent forty, then someone will take a flyer on him.

The NFL will put up with surly nutcases, but they won't put up with fatasses who can't play, and that's what it will come down to.

Hey, you got a bottom-tier program in a market where you don't get no attention, Clarett is your guy.

He slices. He dices. And it's not only that, there's more. Waste a good draft choice on this fixer-upper and choose these high performance extras absolutely free. You'll get an inexhaustible supply of free psycho-babble, enough self-absorption to mop up the most difficult to remove team unity and an instant cancer that draws lots of media attention as fans all look in to see if the program can survive. You may even get Johnny Cochran free when it all goes down in the end.

Now tell me, who can resist that kind of allure? Why would you be willing to spend your draft choices anywhere else?

Order now and we'll throw in lots of free media attention from ESPiN and dedicated coverage from that soon-to-be Pulitzer-Prize winner, Tom Friend. And, don't forget, Johnny Cochran is always just a phone call away.

Yep, folks, I'm telling ya, "where's the money, Mommy?" may well be the number one draft pick this year. He's got it all.

- your post was extremely juvenile. I'll take an arm - wrestle bet that Clarett goes tp 3. All you need to do is challenge me.
What's juvenile about that? That's exactly how he showed up at the combine last year. Then he refused to d oany actual workout, and when going through the interviews, he giggled at everything like he was high.

I don't follow too many Ohio news reports like i should but has anybody from the Browns organization said that they would be interested in taking a chance on Clarett?? The kid may have been a head case but somebody out there in NFL land may feel that he can be helped. My thinking here is that Jim Brown may feel he can help Clarett in this area. This may sound a little far fetched but its not too far from being a possibility.

No, it's not too far fetched. It's what made all those guys marry Elizabeth Taylor thinking that they would be the one who would get it right! One hopes that Clarett would get it right, but he still appears to be very troubled and Freud just doesn't answer the phone!

On a serious note, Jim Brown appears to have been putting considerable distance between himself and Clarett since early 2004. I don't think any team near Ohio would bring him on board with the damage that he has done to his in-state relations but I'll leave it to people closer to this to answer that question!

I doubt all the teams will pass on MoC in the third round... He might sneek into the second, but IMO will def. go in the third round.

I could see Gore sneaking into the bottom of the first, but will prob. go in the second... with depth at RB in this class teams might wait, before the run on RB's starts...
