Who's your X-Factor for the NC game?

I completely forgot about Small! I can honestly see #4 breaking a long one against LSU. And if he does, EASY ON THE CELEBRATING we can't lose Small like we lost Ginn last year.

Yes, I think he has the talent to be a game-changer like Ginn was. I hope he can prove this on the biggest stage of his career. I definitely think he'll be used heavily in the gameplan, he has so much talent for such an under-the-radar player (OSU fans know about him, but I don't think other teams really know his potential).

The one game that got me to know his name was probably one of his worst when he went down in the Minnesota game. But, he has VERY good speed and surprised me in a couple of games this year WITH his speed!

All I can say is I'm feeling better about this game now that Florida went down to Michigan and Arkansas went down like they did.

Ben Person. He's had good moments, but he's also had some penalty issues in games he was struggling in. The entire offensive line is really the x-factor. I want to see a domination of the vaunted LSU defensive line and a special episode of Myth Busters, featuring the tOSU O-line, debunking the SEC speed myth.

Gotta go with the O-line, as boring as that sounds. If they can't open up holes or protect Boeckman we're in for a long night. Boeckman's protection to date has been phenomenal, to the point that we as fans have been spoiled. After watching Illinois' line fold faster than Superman on laundry day, I hope the guys up front can play lights out. Neither side of the line of scrimmage has faced the talent their going to see in the NC game, so it should be a hell of a battle.

LSU fans don't seem to think of their O-line as a team strength, so if Big Vern & Co. can harass Flynn/Perrilloux while our O-line holds off Dorsey, we will be money. My worst fear is our D-line over pursuing on draw plays where their QB's gash us for yards. Actually, my absolute worst fear is if Les Miles uses Trindon Holliday exclusively as we've had a penchant for not being able to stop small shifty backs (Garrett Wolfe, Eugene Jarvis had more success against us than we would have liked). I don't know how shifty Holliday is, or if he can take hits, but he has ridiculous speed that those other two guys I mentioned do not have.

Heacock will be the X-factor. If he's learned how to attack on defense from last January, all the other X-factors mentioned here will be able to shine.

Or has he learned that perhaps when ryan periloux(sp???) is in the game he should spy him with freeman ala sc last night against the juice???

Anything that keeps LSU from pinning their ears back and trying to rattle our QB early in the game; whether it be draws, screens,or my bet...the tight ends over the middle. They are gonna try to duplicate what Florida was able to do and it is critical that we establish the short, over the middle catches first before we wear em down later on with Beanie. Do not abandon the run entirely but he seems to get the majority of his big runs late in the game, make LSU think at least about the middle of the field before we hit em with some long bombs and/or a big dose of Beanie.

Yeah, I agree. Watching scUM move the ball like they did and especially watching them rip through Floridas line to repeatedly drill Tebow...that game somehow made me really start feeling the "W" for our Buckeyes as well. Our boys have been flying under the national radar. So many people watch the Big 10 playing in the wind and rain and snow and think they're slow and boring. But put the Bucks and Wolverinies in some sunshine and watch 'em go! This one is going to be fun!

Unfortunately I dont thing the superdome will be yeilding much sun. Also, I havent analyzed this much, but it seems to me Fla's Oline is half that of LSU's. Luckly we have Vern.
