Winter Workouts Reports

It's time for Person to be in the mix.

I remember Duane Long saying that something was seriously wrong if Person was not in the two deep the minute he stepped on campus. Just goes to show, I guess.

Barton and Boone at tackles

Cordle at center

Rehring and Person at the guards.

Does that look right to anyone??

Don't sell Skinner short he will be in the mix somewhere...IMO he was our best guy off the bench last year...And I also think that Mitchum will put his name in the hat as well...

I believe that will be the most likely starting lineup next year.
I would think Skinner would take over at RT in 2008 unless they move Rehring out there. Skinner and Rehring may end up on the edges if Boone leaves early. Mitchum really has his work cut out for him--if he's behind Person as many of said, there probably won't be a starting guard job opening until 2009.

I really love the potential of that group of receivers next year, they all have their own style but I really love Hartline and his toughness across the middle plus he is a tough guy to bring down. Robiskie is going to be Mr.Consistency out of that group. Small has major potential to become the field stretcher and Lyons is going to get a chance to step up and make some big plays down field too. Wow, the more I look at next years team the more I get excited at the potential all over the field. Its only March how long till the spring game??

I can't wait to see the development

Robo = Gonzo
Hartline = Robo
Lyons > Hall (no offense to Roy)
Small = Ginn :biggrin: (that one might be a stretch)

It's going to be exciting, and we have these guys for a couple of years.

Maybe Jenkins will be at RT and Adams will be at LT:biggrin:

i apologize if it has been asked. but why the winter conditioning isn't open to public this year?? i am not sure if it is ever "open to public" but usually o-zone would have the access to it and would have posted pic from the events.

Henton may have Troy in speed, but Troy has Henton in size. Henton needs to bulk up, or his body will not be able to hold up over the span of a season.

Not like there's all that much disparity. Troy was around 220 this past season whereas Henton is only--at the most--10 pounds lighter, albeit 2 inches taller. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Henton at 220 or so by the start of the season. He might not be quite as thick as Troy, but that doesn't mean he's frail...

I'm just messin' with him. During the Sugar Bowl, JaMarcus Russell was compared to every black quarterback not named Spergon Wynn.

It's a funny, but certainly not racist, trend.

He kinda reminds me of "Spearchucker Jones" from the M*A*S*H series. Not sure if Jones was a QB (Fred "The Hammer" Williamson played the original).

I find it ridiculous that every black QB is rated and compared against other black QB's. They are a mix between Cunningham, Vick, McNabb, and Culpepper. BUT, the craziest one is that they're NEVER compared to Warren Moon who was the greatest black QB ever to play the game. Was Warren too "white" or what? :confused:

Based of what I've heard (people at practice), Henton is smaller than advertised. He'll be doing good to hit 200 by next season (a legit 200 LB's).
