WR DeVier Posey (2017 Grey Cup Champion and MVP)

Now I'm excited about this kid as anyone and I have said numerous times he is my favorite player in the 08 recruiting class.. but lets not start comparing him to Ginn and Gonzo and annoit him as better than Arrellious Benn after his performance against a 1-AA team.

Posey makes a play

With Robiskie on the bench, freshman DeVier Posey gained more playing time than perhaps he had anticipated in his college debut.
He led the Buckeyes with four catches, and turned one of those, a simple sideline stop-and-catch, into a tight-roping 25-yard touchdown play.
"You can't ask for nothing else," Posey said. "You've just got to keep learning stuff. We've got a game next week, it's pretty big for us because it's our second game, and we want to do some great things."

Going out on a limb here but man does Posey look and the play the part or what. Yes it was YSU, but you can tell he has that something extra that I think has been missing in WR corp for a while.

Nice first game for the young man.

The depth at this position is amazing. How many teams could lose two WR's like Robo and Hartline (If Hartline leaves early both should be day 1 picks) and not miss a beat with the likes of Posey,Thomas,Washington, Small, Sanzenbacher, Wow.

if OSU didn't have so many great wr's. He would have a freshman year like David Boston did:)

There is no doubt though, that Posey will play. He adds another dimension to this offense, when all other teams' secondary is looking at the Robiskie, Hartline and Small, well, that leaves Posey open. I think he plays more than Sanz does.

Over the past 4 or 5 years I have stopped following recruiting with the ferocity that I used to so I'm not really familiar with most of the freshman this year, but this kid has it. He seems to be the big play receiver that we are going to need if we want to go where we want to this season. I'd love to see him get some reps as the 3rd receiver next week. Just remember one juke (if that) and go. He seemed to figure that out after he tried to juke a few times on one play and gave the rest of the D time to catch up with him.
