WR Garrett Wilson (All B1G, 1st Team All American, 2022 OROY, New York Jets)

I feel like they are going to give it Purdy even though he didn't lay the whole season cause PLAYOFFS

Associated Press NFL Rookie of the Year Award

Supposedly ballots are cast at the end of the regular season, before the playoffs.

Interesting that on Dec 92, 2022 this outfit didn't have Purdy in the top 3:

2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates, ranked
1. Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
2. Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints
3. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Had a heavy dose of reality that not every team you play on has a great QB after Lake Travis and Ohio State and couldn't hide his frustration 8D

Makes the numbers he put on the board even more impressive

I just did some number crunching, but I didn't go play-by-play, so these numbers might not be 100%. But definitely close enough.

Wilson played 8 games with Flacco/White. he had 62 catches for 656 yards and 4 TDs. That paces for 131c/1394yds/8.5 TDs

He only had 447 yards (21 catches) the other 9 games with Wilson and Streveler (anyone else? not sure). No TDs.

Wilson is probably a top 5 WR with a legitimate starting QB. He was probably top 15 with Wilson/White/Flacco/whomever else, as a rookie, in one of the worst offenses in the league.
