WR Grant Schwartz (official thread)

Grant recieved a call from JT this morning making is offer official. JT told Grant to talk it over with his family and to make sure of his decision. This is great news!!!!! I have to believe Grant will become a Buckeye in the next couple of days.:)

By Chris Nida of BSB...Grant now has his official offer after speaking to JT last Thursday. He says OSU is still his number one school but is also hearing a lot from Oregon. He hopes to be able to play this week.

I get the sense from the various posts from Grant's dad that Oregon is something more than a fall back option. I think he will definitely take an official visit there before making a decision. The question on the table, really, is how long the slot at tOSU will be open. I do not get the sense that OSU is going to back off other safety prospects and a quick verbal by one of them may change the picture regarding Grant's offer. It is standard practice for JT to tell recruits to take their time and be sure. But as we have seen, the picture can quickly change in recruiting.

USC would be in good position, too, if they offered - or implied that they would offer.

EDIT: (added quotes)
They are "so close to home -- it would be nice to go there," and PC was dad's coach at OSU, so .....

"They would probably move up," Schwartz said, "if they offer."
