WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2022 Rose Bowl MVP, Seattle Seahawks)

JSN has done nothing wrong. The speculation is caused by the HC after Iowa he could have said it appears JSN is out for the year. If JSN was ready for the playoffs nobody is going to hold Day for something said in October. Days subterfuge on injuries puts the stress on the player. Hell just recently Henderson had to come out and defend himself and disclose his injury. The Coach could have had his back instead of being coy with it.
This is a smart post.

Of course they are going to. They know him personally and I’m sure they like him personally.

Criticism is one thing. It’s not like people are out in force wishing him death or demanding his records be scrubbed from OSU.

even though disappointed in him. I still wish him the best in life.

His teammates have a whole lot more vested in the upcoming game than we do. And I expect they also know more about his situation than we do having been around him for the last 3 months. Shit, Ryan Day's fucking JOB may depend on this game. So, yeah....if none of those people have an issue with JSN, I don't know how any of us have any right to.

Yes. If they thought he was quitting on the team there would be an issue but no one appears to believe that.

Also Tom Orr did a live YouTube on it said his brother who is just made it to the pros was hurt and lost his whole season. So he wouldn't blame the family for being a little gun shy about him potentially reinjuring it to the point of it messes with his career.

Ok here it is. Listen to the whole thing..

Very interesting.
My take aways. I had no idea Doug L was such a fucking dork.
And 3rd parties have convinced Jaxon not to play for fear of re-injury.
Again disappointing considering the stakes.
Had we not made the playoffs it’s a totaling different calculus.
I guess I’m old school, built different, guaranteed I’d play and most likely dominate.
Brotherhood talk rings a bit hallow.
Chances to be part of something legendary outweighs the risk.
If I’m an NFL GM it’s a red flag, but again I’m basically Dan Campbell.

My take was there was a pretty strong chance it wasn't his decision to not play.

The adults stepped in and said it's not ready/worth the risk. Now depending on who that adult is changes the narrative quite a bit see doctors telling him no vs advising agent vs family etc at least to some people.. but that's just more needless speculation at that point

I see as Doctors saying he is cleared v agents saying don’t risk it.
If that is flipped it changes the narrative.
Alas we may never know.

I doubt it. They aren’t going to put him on blast even if they feel that way. They are teammates. And of course Day wouldn’t say anything. That would be a great way to law recruits.

it is what is is. But let’s not pretend that this doesn’t look suspicious.

Ah so [reaction] is based on how
... you present yourself.

you signed up specifically and exclusively to trash JSN based on regurgitating speculative inside info from another board.

this whining is literally the only thing you're bringing to the table, but it's our problem if we notice it. Maybe you have other things to offer but we haven't seen anything but emotional whining and then laughable attempts to call out and moderate those around you.

You want to wax poetic about the optics of this yet cry bloody murder when someone holds you accountable. the difference is Jaxon actually did a lot of great things for two years before he got cheapshotted by ND.

any time you want to take your own advice for how a buckeye impacts those around him, I'd love to see it. It appears you have confused this board as a place for unchecked rants to cope with mild sports developments.

You are expected to back up your stances here, and you're called to task for what you say and do.
