Welcome to the "University of Ohio State."

He's got plenty of time to figure out how to say it well. I'm sure he was just a little nervous...big moment for the kid. Welcome to Buckeye Land LT!

On a side note...didn't Clifford announce that he was going to "the University of Ohio State" last year on ESPNU as well??? I remember somebody saying it.

Wrong.

I know for a fact (when that was posted) that he had not told anyone (outside of his family) as of that time and that Buckeye posters were claiming he told recruits he was going to tOSU. In other words, the various reports on tOSU boards were wrong.

He may very well choose tOSU and it certainly looks like he will ...

However, I guarantee you there was a lot of inaccurate information on the boards this past week ... and this was not a 'done deal' as early as everyone was stating it was. That was the gist of the post two days ago ...

I am going to end up splitting this off in the end...but:

So it was someone else named Illinibat who on 10/16 said:

Scout.com: Illinois Forums List

Where did Flash's parents and brother visit with him?

Hmm.

That would be Champaign ... not Columbus.

and...

Lamaar has actually kept his recruiting info close to the vest and very quiet.

The posts on the four Ohio State boards are just fueling themselves.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into them.

They did the same thing with Josh Brent and he was a silent verbal to Illinois even when the tOSU boards were saying he stated that tOSU led.

So, how was I wrong in saying that someone with that handle was very confident that he would end up at Illinois? I never said anything about him saying that he told any other recruits anything...

As per tradition...welcome to the family Lamaar...

"University of Ohio State" = "University of LSU"

Glad to have Lamaar aboard. From his comments it seems like he's very willing to be a team player and he seems like a sharp kid. Additionally he seems like a young man who relies on family and that usually breeds a good human being in general. As a final thought I also like the fact that it's always nice to have an athlete on the field who can score a TD in less than no matter where he gets the ball 11 seconds. Very excited to have him aboard. Congratulations and thank you Lamaar on becoming a Buckeye.
