WR Roy Hall (Official Thread)

The guy would have been not only the premiere receiver but also the Offensive MVP on 118 other college teams. He is a beast and built well for many pro offensive attacks. Players like him that never settle for second are assured to be noticed by their peers and coaches.

Isn't it odd how like all the OSU alumni players are playing unbelieveable this offseason?? Wow, great news for Roy Hall!!

Yeah, and it seems to be the ones that were drafted later in the rounds: Hall, Pittman, Stan White, Grant is getting spotlight in SF, etc. These "second tier" NFL players that got drafted late or were backups here are showing just how talented OSU is if these guys are making waves in the NFL but were riding some pine on the college level.

I couldn't be any more proud of these Bucks in the pro league. Hall will eventually emerge as a top receiver for some team in the next few years. He's only a few injuries away from garnering some reps as the 3rd receiver for the Colts.

We do not have enough great things to say about Roy Hall. It's like: Wow! Hall was very impressive. He had no drops and showed great speed. Roy has improved his routes, but some were still a little sloppy. On the 4 cone drill, Roy would get sloppy with the last cone, cutting in too tight. But, in general, this Roy Hall is very different than the one I saw last year. He's made a big leap.

Great to hear good things about Roy. I always liked him while he was at Ohio State but never seemed to get that much playing time. Very athletic WR with excellent speed. Might end up playing a little flex end with Indy.

I was always suprised with his combine workouts and his draft round.

I figured he would have gone well before the 4th round, I mean - didnt the kid run like a sub 4.4?

Either way, I always liked him; he's a large receiver and he can be very physical, but he's got the
speed to burn as well.

I agree. To me, he always had that David Boston style body - tall, muscular, great hands, great speed. They both are great overall receivers, however Hall is doing it without the juice. Hall will someday make coachs drool over his talent.

Go check out his college stats. A 5th round selection was very generous.

I'm well aware of his stats, but imho he's far better than his stats entail.

I wish he would have seen more action @ tOSU, I'm confident he would have been drafted much much higher.

To think he'd go well before the 4th round when he never had more than 250 yards receiving in a single season is kind of silly though.

He saw a lot of action in 04, but did not capitalize (though that can be said of many positions early that year). He was a tough matchup as an 4th/5th wr, but did not make much noise when inserted higher in the lineup. That will hold back any player in the draft.

Its just weird, combine workouts can drop a high receiver down quite low...

Yet don't seem as profound in the opposite manner.

Chances are, if you can't produce in college, you're not going to produce against better opponents. Obviously that doesn't hold true for everybody, and hopefully not for Roy's case either.
