WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

His td catch over his shoulder going out of the back of the endzone between two defenders was Pro Bowl caliber.

I've been a bit disappointed with Ginn as a receiver and I've stated as much on this thread recently. Having said that, this catch was truly lights-out. I honestly don't know how he caught that... Great work Ted...keep it up!

Meanwhile, the Phins are winning...which seems almost miraculous.

From Coach Sparano after the game.

Source: Sun Sentinel

(On WR Ted Ginn, Jr.'s kickoff return on the first play of the game and his overall play today) ? "I thought Teddy was outstanding. The touchdown catch he makes is tremendous and a couple of kickoff returns, I mean, he's a block away. Of course he takes one on the opener the distance and we have a penalty. That's something, again, that's not acceptable. I think we had four or five penalties today in this game. It was pretty even. Both teams were pretty even going into the game, penalty-wise. It kind of all equaled out. But we took points off the board there. I thought Ted was explosive. Certainly in that phase of the game, made some good plays and gave us some good field position."

agree 100 percent. No one is even close. How many times when he breaks into the open is anyone within 5 yards of him? it's sick! what is kinda of weird though is how on some of his TD catches people are near him but man when he has the ball he just blows by people

That was the fastest I've ever seen TG2 run. It was two steps per 5 yards. Still to this day though, I've never seen ANYONE pull away from someone like he did against MSU when he took that slant across the middle.....unreal.
I thought his return against Indiana trumped that. He was even with two would-be IU tacklers at the 30, and by the time he crosses the other 30 he's built five yards of separation between himself and the two of them, plus Santonio Holmes too. Holmes isn't exactly a sloth, and Ginn blew by 'Tone just like he did Datish on the end around in the Fiesta against ND.

I think we'll all agree that the dude can flat out fly! I'll leave it at that!

I just watched it again from an angle I hadn't seen earlier. His ability to locate the ball in the air and adjust at full speed between th etwo defenders and approaching the back of the endzone was fantastic and shows his maturity as a receiver. Well done, Teddy.
