WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

From Chad Pennington after the Raiders' game.

(On if he is getting more confident throwing the ball to Ted Ginn, Jr. in important situations) ? "Sure. And that starts with him. He comes to practice every day and he works hard and he wants to get better. He's eager to learn and he ask me for feedback. And I think that's great and all of our guys are like that. The more balls he catches in critical situations the more confidence he gets in himself. The run he had on the reverse was spectacular. He has so much talent. It just takes time to develop. What happens is he's such a good athlete he makes things look easy sometimes and that's not the case."
(On the play call that successfully converted the 4th-and-5) ? "On the sideline Dan (Henning) asked me what I liked. We decided the play we called would be the right play. They've got a really good coverage scheme. They had pretty good coverage on it. But Ted (Ginn, Jr.) found a way to get open on the shallow cross and did a good job to get to the sticks and then run north-south and not run east-west to make sure he got the first down."

(On if Tedd Ginn, Jr. was the primary receiver on the play) ? "No, he was actually the No. 3. We had Greg (Camarillo) on a post route and Ronnie (Brown) on a wheel route. They did a good job to make sure we wouldn't hit the big play and Ted (Ginn, Jr.) managed to get open."

From Coach Sparano after the Raiders' game.

(On using WR Ted Ginn, Jr. in critical situations) ? "Yeah, more and more. I think one of the things is certainly Chad [Pennington, QB] is becoming a lot more comfortable that way with Ted. What I see with Ted is I see him catching the ball across the middle in a 'Dagger' route, I see him catch the ball at the end and run with it. So he made some good plays in the middle of the field there and in some other areas. Not a place where a lot of smaller people want to go. So I think that Chad has become a little bit more comfortable, because it's all a part of trying to move him around a little bit. I think that helps us out when we move him around, get him into new areas, but Chad is becoming a little more comfortable."

Teddy's on the verge and Miami is gearing up for a playoff run. Unbelievable and I love it!

I dont see the Patriots holding Teddy down this week if the Dolphins keep trying to get him the ball. He just might go off again like he did vs the Bills.

I can't imagine beating the Patriots twice in a season, can't remember when that happened last. Ginn will definitely be a key asset in the this game.

His stats were pretty good for the day, but it wasn't all that great. He had a few drops, and reversed field on a kickoff return and ended up on the 2 yard line. He's had better days. Good thing is Chad's looking his way more often than not.

T. Ginn Jr. 5 receptions for 88 yards.

I might be gullible, but is this true? I remember in Highschool hearing the fastest person in the world tops out at 25mph, but that was word of mouth and no written facts.
Usain Bolt's 100 meter record (9.69) works out to 23.084 mph. His 200 meter record (19.30) increases to 23.180 mph.

So the top speed must be a little bit higher considering they couldn't maintain that speed from start to finish. Right? lol, so 25mph lol?
