WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

Yeah, Krenzel made it twice in 4 weeks, for the CFB preview and then post-Washington. He was also on after the Fiesta Bowl. Clarett was the cover of the post-Michigan game. The last time we were on the cover, unfortunately, was after the 2003 Michigan loss.

Ive always liked SI covers, personally. The do a fantastic job of showing intensity. Even though the Sooners didnt become the National Champs in 02, I really liked this cover:

Thanks for the quick answer, but that would have been a 3-4 week period then however long the perriod was between scUM and the bowl, so that wasn't technically 2 consecutive weeks then?

I'm pretty sure the 2002 preview (which was regional, so there were 4 of them) had Doss on the cover for the Midwest. There were also 2 or 3 other covers that year which have been discussed.

BTW, didn't OSU make it two covers in a row in 2002. Prior to the Michigan game and after it? I could be wrong. Just wondering.

edit...I was wrong. only after.

2nd edit. I see the SI cover for the 2002 preview. Maybe that cover was ESPN the Mag?

Best was 2 weeks apart in 1979.

ND on back to back covers in 1993

Notre Dame appeared on the cover following their win over FSU (11/22/93).

They were back on the cover the next week after losing to BC (11/29/93).

I'm sure there are other examples of players or teams making the SI cover in back to back weeks.
