WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I think a lot more goes on the coaches than the players. When your offense's average national ranking over the last 9 years is 70th, it isn't any one player or QB. It suggests a systemic problem, particularly in light of the talent on the field.

Yeah, them too. We have a gifted athlete at QB and lots of talent.

You mention Pryor's emotional demeanor. I don't know if he has a psychological coach, but he needs one. He's young and under a lot of pressure. Too many golden comparisons to live up to perhaps?
How many young NFL quarterbacks have there been that did not live up to their hype and crashed and burned. Everyone has put the same type of pressure on a 20-year old college sophomore as you would see with a #1 NFL draft pick. Coach Tressel often speaks of dealing with adversity and this could be one of his biggest coaching challenges as he is going to have to help guide TP through this. How this plays out may not only effect this team but also future ones...especially when it comes to the recruitment of quarterbacks. (i.e. Braxton Miller)

Maybe I made excuses for TP, about the D being in his face and the D making a good play...

I understand that he shoudl be making some plays, and I think he did today...

But it is about expectations, but expecting him to make all of those plays expecting him to be an All-American back there...

It is time to say that he is a great athlete playing QB, that is an average throwing QB, that we hope that can improve. If he does we could be looking a Vince Young type guy. At this point not so.

Two interceptions and two fumbles is not good. The offense started clicking in the fourth quarter and he had some good moments but I hope this goes down as the worst game of his career.

Don't worry. We don't let anyone bash players here.

That's the long and short of it.

He'll do better.

QCmon guys...TP looked fairly good today...Yeah he made a couple bad decisions, but this game was not on TP...

We didn't watch the same game.

It is a team game but there is no way one can be honest and claim he played good today. No way. I wish him nothing but success but today was a terrible day for Terrelle. Terrible. Even the good plays (which were very few) were very bad throws by him. The play to Saine was behind him and Saine made a great catch and run, the TD pass was just god awful but Posey made a play and got TD.

Seriously.... good for you to not cut the kid down but he played his worst game to date.

I would add in an average running QB as well. He has not ran the ball well. I just want to see him run North and South with a little ambition. He is huge and could break tackles if he just put his mind to it, but he continuously slows down and attempts to work the sideline. Until he runs with some authority he is just going to be a good athlete.

If he starts running up field look out because he will average 150 yards a game on the ground.

Even the late touchdown was a poor throw. Pryor may have better days/years, but I don't think we can sugar coat today. The O wasn't good and TP was a big part of it. Sometimes when I watch I really wonder if TP will "get it" as a QB. I hope I'm wrong, but with each step forward (4th quarter) there are steps backwards.

The other thing is that I really haven't seen what I would call a "confident" QB all season. A QB w/o that...is...?

I dont want to get banned so I wont say anything, but there are some major Pryor rumors over on scout.com, and they arent good

I'm sure there are.....That post adds nothing to this conversation.

Everyone needs to take a step back and relax. He's going to be fine, they just need to settle him down.

The coaches have probably repeated to him not to let himself get injured when he runs the ball. The problem is more with his passing. You simply cannot expect to win games at this level if there is no passing game. I don't think it is all TP's fault, the offense as a whole is imploding, and that is a coaching problem IMHO. At least all is not lost and we can still win at least a share of the Big 10 if we win out. But these are not the problems that we should be working on at this stage of the season. The penalties are unacceptable. The turnovers are unacceptable. I understand that Purdue was better than their record indicates, but there are serious issues with the offensive coaching of this team.

This post won't add much to the discussion either.

I just wanted to say that I couldn't give a fuck less what anyone thinks about him.

I don't want any other QB to lead the Bucks.
I can't wait 'til Terrelle makes all the haters eat crow. And before you start, I'm not interested in any of that "I HOPE HE DOES!!!111!" pussy bullshit.

Put in Zwick. :roll1:
