Yahoo accusations against SEC

2 years bowl ban and scholarship restrictions already. Just because they were self imposed and because they sucked doesn't mean they weren't considered part of the sanctions.

Maybe, maybe not. The first team in those two years was borderline anyway. Just because the school sanctions itself doesn't mean much to me anymore. The NCAA hasn't ruled on anything.

I thought the Miami investigation has (so far) gone nowhere because the NCAA violated some rules while investigating.

That's incorrect. the NCAA has hit Cryami with several violations including LOI and FTM and I am pretty sure it has received Cryami's reply. Only after all that stuff came out did the NCAA sanction itself for over-stepping their bounds. The timing of all of the Cryami stuff has been very drawn out.

As much as it would be fun to see the SEC get hammered or Cryami get what I think it deserves, I don't think either is in the cards right now.

Please remember they had all but an Auburn employee saying Chizik had paid sCam Newton's father and he was suspended for warm ups. They will need something concrete and completely incontrovertible to get any of these schools to admit to any wrong doing. That's a hell of a hill to climb.

If there is any "paper work' it will be a lot easier for the NCAA to sanction people and programs.
"Davis declined to comment for this story. However, Yahoo Sports was able to authenticate text message records, Western Union fund transfers, banking statements, flight receipts and other financial material linking both Davis and the five college football players." from Yahoo Sports http://sports.yahoo.com/

 So? Cryami had people getting abortions for Christ's sake at the booster's behalf and nothing will come of that either. If the schools were involved, there won't be ANYTHING found that connects them directly to the payments and benefits.

I doubt that will even happen. Probation for using ineligible players at worst.
Not saying you are wrong, I tend to agree with you in that nothing will come of this, BUT.. the difference between players getting abortions and players receiving cash is the NCAAs coveted 501(c)(3) tax status.
