your final four (MERGED)

sweating? is that why i looked like i just got done swimming? winner gets about 2k in the pool i guess. its just one of those things, if you want to win you have to go against your gut and pickem in a manner that you think no one else will.

has anyone heard of the "underdog" style. someone was trying to explain it to me and was doing a piss poort job.

Well they escaped by the skin of thier teeth, and now they hsould have an easy second round game since Nevada is choking it up against Montana.

It wasn't yesterday. It's not that Iowa and Memphis are so amazingly good, they don't play anyone that's much better than them. Texas is a joke(sorry High Lonesome, they're talented but inconsistent), Kansas is also inconsistent and young, Pitt can be beat, and so can UCLA. The only pick I question is Iowa but if not them then I have LSU going. Iowa came close to beating Texas earlier this year, WV is very beatable, and then I have them playing in the elite 8 against LSU. They're not that crazy of picks if you stop and look at the brackets. Would you rather I say Duke, Texas, Uconn, and Villanova are going to the Final 4?
It was in my time zone.

I would rather you be realistic. If Ohio State gets past Davidson, their likely road to the Final Four will be Georgetown, then Florida, then either BC or 'Nova. That's no cakewalk. Bias aside, with the way we're shooting from the outside right now, picking them to win the NC, much less make it to the Final Four, is nothing short of idiotic. Unless Je'Kel and co. get as hot as they were in that 4 or 5 game stretch after we lost to Iowa, which is probably what all of you that picked OSU to make it to Indianapolis are counting on, it just isn't going to happen. You can preach about Dials being the Big Ten POY all you want, but it takes balance to win trophies. And balance is one thing OSU doesn't have right now.

I'd rather not start on Memphis. They'll fall to any team that decides to pressure them for 40 minutes.

nope i actually agree with you, i don't see any way they make it past the sweet 16 against iowa or wv....sure as hell not past duke.....too inconsistant... i think you were a little off when he called them a joke but i'll let it slide.

Kid i have to disagree with you on kansas. If you would have said they can't do it because they are too young then i could understand, however, they have only one loss in the last two months and that was in austin against Texas. They seem to be the model of consistancy to me.

edit: just saw that he did say they were young, so just take out the inconsistant part and i am fine with his opinion

Yeah, calling them a joke is too harsh. I was just mad at the media for not seeing their inconsistency and only looking at their talent. About Kansas being inconsistent, I was getting them confused with Texas. Anyways, good luck in the tourney!

I agree that Ohio St. isn't very realistic. I thought you were commenting on Iowa and Memphis. I'm picking OSU solely because they're OSU and I'm an OSU fan. Hey, they have as good of a chance as anyone else. We've seen Uconn lose to a Villanova team that's similar to our team. Memphis might not make it to the final 4 but there's no one that wows me in that bracket except maybe UCLA. They sound like crazy picks but when you look at the potential matchups they really aren't.
