Also, he recruited while on the staff at Miami. Knows programs/HS coaches throughout. Maybe the administration wants a guy that "gets" the U and might come at a relatively cheap salary,in comparison to Leach, Gruden, et al.
One name I haven't heard mentioned or seen written anywhere is Rob Chudzinski. He was a former player at UM, former assistant there, then moved on to be OC in Cleveland (I think.) Anyway, he obviously doesn't have any HC experience that Miami is seeking, but he has ties and has solid coaching...
