You can get a good guard in free agency. I cannot see selecting one at #6 and I know how good Warmack is.

The more I think about it the more I believe that a guard that many people think is the best player in the draft sandwiched between Thomas and Mack might make all the difference that this team needs. Imagine Richardson with nearly 2000 yards on the season and Weeden hitting open receivers down the field because defenses are stacking the box to stop the running game.

Sign Keenan Lewis and do what you can to find an OLB. The defense wasn't that far off last year so hopefully a second CB would fix most of their ills.

If there is no obvious pick at OLB, Milliner is gone - I don't see the issue. Warmack would be the BPA at that point. Sure, I'm not psyched about a guard @6, but the Oline would then probably be the best in the NFL.

Again, if I'm the Browns I'm thinking about woo-ing Sam Shields. Especially if Milliner runs a good 40time. I just can't see him making it past
Detroit.

By the by, anyone have anything on this Kent Richardson we signed? I guess he was the AFL defensive player of the year? I won't scoff at that. Its a points fest and if you can be the best defender in that league you might have a decent shot at the next level.

Today's media geniuses at CBSsports have 2 mocks...one has us taking Ezekiel Ansah of BYU at #6 (Werner at 3, Milliner at 4, Jones at 5) and the other has us taking Dion Jordan of Oregon (Werner 2, Milliner 5, Jones falls to 15th). I totally like taking defense there, but we can't lose the "Who will be this year's Mike Mamula/David Veikune" sweepstakes, or this franchise is still fucked...

On NFL Network, we have Jones (2), Mingo (2), Patterson (WR? No way), Warmack, Milliner, and Moore. So basically this draft appears to be pretty wide open right now, I guess.

If Jones is deemed healthy I have no problem with him, Milliner, or Warmack. The only knocked I've heard on Jones is the neck so if the doctors don't think it will be an issue go for it. Milliner might not be Haden, but he is the first CB off the board and has low bust potential. Warmack it the closest thing to a sure thing in this draft although at a position that you normally don't want to use the #6 pick on.

He was born in Florida so he must be fast. I did not even know the Browns had signed him and had to Google Kent Richardson to find out that he went to college at West Virginia and was a CB. Everybody is worth a look for the Browns.

It all depends on what they do in FA of course. If they fill the OLB hole or the CB hole in FA, I could easily see them taking a guard at the 6th pick and actually be somewhat ok with it.
