Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Sat Oct 9, 12:00 ET, ESPN/2

Looks like the cry babies are getting everything they want in this game.

Jeez, you go too low and its targeting the knees. You hit helmet to helmet with both players being low and its a foul.

When is this game ever going to be a FOOTBALL GAME!

I thought he hit him in the shoulder. It's hard to tell how high/low you need to go when the receiver's in the air and the ball bounced off his hand.

I understand protecting the player - but I don't think it was a bad play by Howard. It was similar to what Ohrian Johnson just did, except his guy was on the ground.

Exactly. Bottom line is I've seen hits like that hundreds of times over the past few years...and dear god, looks like another of those BS calls. He never left his feet and did what you're taught to do. Put that head down a bit and take the guy right on. I understand player safety, but dear god...isn't it also a flag if the defensive player would have taken the helmet right into his chest? That's still technically "leading with the helmet" which is what is supposedly the problem, leading with the helmet.

And like they were discussing, you go low and he either gets the first down or they tackle at the knees (very unprotected compared to the head, by the way). Much more likely to pop out that knee and end the guys season that way.
