Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I met a Penn State grad the other day. He did very well serving up my beers while I was at the bar so I tipped him an extra couple of dollars. Maybe he will give it to THON.
doubtful. there wasn't anybody there to write a story about it. the #1 thing THON generates, even more than $$$ is publicity for Penn State football.

Thon was a pretty badass movie. They don't rape children in the future.

1994. I love that topic on BWI.

It's a good thing I don't have a BWI account because I'd get banned for laughing at them. My favorite is "Big Ten Voters" screwed us.
1. The Big Ten doesn't have voters. There might be coaches of Big Ten teams who have votes in the coaches' poll, but that isn't what you're talking about. You're talking about the AP voters who happen to live in states that also contain Big Ten teams. The Big Ten, itself, didn't vote for or against Penn State.
2. Even if EVERY voter in "Big Ten country" (like that's a thing) voted Penn State #1, and Nebraska #2, Penn State still wouldn't have been #1. So "Big Ten voters" didn't "screw" anyone". "Big Ten voters" merely increased the gap between Nebraska and Penn State. If their fans want to be bitter about that, fine. I even have a little sympathy for that one. But to say that that's the only reason Penn State missed the #1 ranking (hence saying "screwed") is very much wrong. (Also, I believe that Penn State wasn't clear #1 amongst voters in Pennsylvania. Before you bitch at your immediate neighbors, why don't you yell at the people living in your house?)

The Pedsters sure do have lots of envy and Urban Meyer derangement syndrome. When will the "dishonest recruiting tricks" by Meyer ever stop? As usual, Southeastern PA Buck brings the quality analysis in the BWI thread. Penn St. would never do something like force a kid off the team. Shove a cock in a kid's ass, yes. But nothing more serious than that.

Southeastern PA Buck: "Success with Dishonor - welcome to O$U football. They treat kids like race horses. PSU would never mistreat kids like this."

The Pedsters again show that they can turn any topic into a rant about how the Big 10 cheats them. The thread started off as a discussion about Wisconsin before morphing into the standard victimhood whining. Nothing unusual about that, but the best part about the thread is when a poster foolishly admits to not getting the hatred for the Big 10. Miles Kauffman then brings the heat and offers up the definitive list of mandatory viewing of PSU getting screwed by the refs. Posters are apparently not allowed to have an opinion on the Big 10 conference until they have watched the final two minutes or final quarter of the listed games.

I love the instruction that anyone not hating the Big 10 should get a copy of the listed games "however you can get them." I am picturing a shadowy black market where guys in Joesus masks and soiled khakis trade bootleg DVDs of 20-year old games to show how much the Big 10 screws the Pedsters.

MikesKaufman: You "don't get it"?

Watch the following games on DVD, or replay, or however you can get them:

1993 Penn State vs Michigan
1993 Indiana at Penn State--Basketball
1994 Penn State at Indiana, 4th quarter
1999 Michigan at Penn State, 4th quarter
2001 Penn State at Illinois, 4th quarter
2002 Penn State at Michigan
2002 Iowa at Penn State
2003 Ohio State at Penn State
2005 Penn State at Michigan, final two minutes
2007 Penn State at Illinois
2008 Penn State at Iowa
2012 Penn State at Nebraska
2014 Penn State at Michigan
2014 Ohio State at Penn State
2015 Maryland at Penn State--Basketball

Then get back to me....

I love how a bad call by a referee is the same as "the referees are screwing us".
I'm not going to go down the list and name which ones they do or do not have a legitimate gripe. But some of those were bad (or somehow "wrong") calls. But that doesn't mean that the referees are you to screw you over. They make incorrect calls all the time.

No 2013 penn st @ Ohio st?

I'm guessing that you're joking, but I remember reading someone complain about a couple of things that, as it was argued, "set the tone" for the rest of the game. Specifically, there was a blind-side block by one of Ohio State's offensive linemen that was arguably a "targetting" block (not that I thought it was, but that year there were a lot of "targetting" calls made, and I wasn't going to be surprised if one was made on that play), and there was a run by someone - I can't remember who, now - close to the endzone. I forget how that all happened, but I think they called off the touchdown and placed the ball at the 1 or 2. I think that was the correct call, but there was no replay that showed where the ball should go - there was no camera angle that properly showed it. I remember the cult whining that it should have been farther out. 3 or 4 maybe. Without a good camera angle, how do you argue THAT? I still don't know how the refs spotted it where they did, but I'm not complaining because I think it actually was the right call.

I wish I had access to every angle of every penn state game. I'd show them why more than half of their list is just them being wrong...and then I'd show them how much shit they get away with. One of my favorites is them bitching about the lack of holding being called on us last year. Just watch Bosa and see all the holding they didn't call against PSU that game.

The holding thing goes all the way back to JoePed's handpicked refs. According to Pitt fans from the day, whenever another team would get a good drive rolling in the erector set, the refs would start calling holding. The pedsters were conditioned to expect all these holding calls on the other team, so when they didn't get them in the Big Ten: CONSPIRACY!

I figured I'd respond to this post:
Wisconsin football hasn't reached the heights of a Penn State or Ohio State at their best,

According to my numbers, Wisconsin has passed Penn State. I don't know how many championships Wisconsin has since 1993, but Penn State has 3. Wisconsin has 2 since 2011, and they may have shared for one in 2010. And I bet they won at least one in the late 90's. So they've got at least 4. And number of wins: 109 for Wisconsin and 108 for Penn State.
