RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

I disagree with that statement that he's easily swayed. I think Dunn is looking out to see what schools offense will fit him the best. I can't blame him for that. He wants a pro style, power I system because he doesn't see himself utilized well in the spread. Dunn seems like he needs a large number of carries and he needs to wear down defenses. No problem with that, but I think urban is trying to let him know he can be successful in either, and honestly be far healthier and fresher in our new system as opposed to constantly taking a beating at scum like he does now. But at the end of the day it's his decision and osu will be fine either way since its not like we really NEED rbs at this point. We just need 2 to step up and prove themselves

I agree, but wonder why he's not looking at Wisconsin? He'd be a beast in that system...

THIS... which is why I think he's just looking for a reason to leave... I don't get people who decommit, but it happens all the time... best of luck wherever you end up, but if you go to scUM, I hope you go 0-4

I can understand someone de-commiting if something has happened at their school, like USC a couple of years ago and Penn State this year. It's only fair to the kids in that kind of situation.

Bri'onte Dunn has nothing to do with it, (in any 4 year span) we always want scUM to be 0-4 against Ohio State. Heck, we even love 0-8 counting conference championship games.

DUNN AT OSU

GlenOak running back Bri?onte Dunn made a trip to Ohio State this weekend and talked with new head coach Urban Meyer. Dunn is in a tough spot right now. He wants to go to Ohio State and has been a Buckeye fan since he was little. But Meyer just hired Iowa State?s assistant Tim Herman to be its quarterback coach and offensive coordinator. Herman is a spread offense guru, which, depending on the spread, may not suit Dunn.

Remember, Dunn is a young man being told two things by coaching staffs ? Michigan is the other one ? of what is going to happen, and he has nothing to go on. Michigan is saying it plans to go back to a power I-formation offense, but it seems like college football is becoming a read-option offensive-oriented world. I?m sticking with my prediction that Dunn ends up at Ohio State and Meyer is able to snap McKinley?s Se?Von Pittman away from Michigan State as well.

I agree with this. I just don't think TSUN and Brady Hoke are going to be able to offer him a pro style offense either. Up there, they have Robinson at QB next year, then two years with Gardner at the helm. They won't be running a pro style offense any earlier than Dunn's senior season.

I can easily see Dunn winning a heisman at Wisconsin. I don't want to see him at UofM but what are you gonna do. Good luck to him regardless.

Yeah, that seems like it'd be the perfect system for him, in theory. But he can be successful wherever he goes. But isnt Wisconsin already deep at RB with young talent? James white is only a sophomore too he's supposed to be the next rb in line. Not to mention they already have a 4star RB from Wisconsin already committed for this class

I dont think some of these "big" backs are seeing the whole picture with the spread. Texas Tech type spread is awful for a big, 20 carries a game type of back. Urbans attack is awesome for one. The spread attacks all parts of the field which keeps the DB's out of the box for the most part. Thats more running lanes and less guys to get through to paydirt. tOSU has been excellent at running from the pistol for the past couple of years. A big back like Dunn would be taking on DB's instead of DT's and LBs. Thats a beautiful situation for them.

In the end its his choice. I, for one, can't wait to see the spread and Prime n the backfield with a full head of steam onto the DBs next year.
