RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

I was talking about Dunn today. We were discussing the fact that we really don't have a bruising back other than Dunn now that Hyde's career here is finished. Perhaps this is why Meyer made the decision to redshirt Dunn so I tend to agree with starBucks on this. I am not sure that Meyer has ever really bought into Rod Smith. We will see come next fall when all this starts to shake out.

Rod Smith. But he's a senior next year.

And this guy isn't exactly "chopped liver"; (and when given a chance) put up some pretty good numbers this year (i.e. 8.7 ave yards per carry):

I wonder if with Dunn coming off of his redshirt, he becomes the big/power RB, and passes up rod smith. And smith and ball become the odd men out. Braxton will always be counted on as an extra runner to get carries, and then,IMO, EzE is the starter, and dontre is the change of pace hybrid RB/WR. Then throw in brionte for short yardage. I have nothing against rod,but he's been nothing special during his career, and Dunn has similar size, speed, and is a guy that urban desperately wanted when he became coach.

To me Zeke is a great back but not a big bruising style of back. Zeke may very well be our feature back next year and he would get my vote. But I'm talking a big back to just pound through a line for 1 to 3 yards when needed. I think Dunn can provide that.
