RB Jordan Hall (Official Thread)

To be clear, the game-day scratch is May (incorrectly) inferring Hall didn't play at all, when in actuality he was on kick coverage. AKA the same situation we've seen three guys (Najee Murray; Bogard twice) suffer major injuries over the last two seasons. Thus, I assume Hall is only slightly dinged and will be in the backfield if Hyde needs a breather during a tight game. Versus Purdue, you can let Zeke get major time.

I thought Hall was in street clothes and didn't play at all against Purdue? Maybe you saw somebody else wearing his number(s) on special teams?

I count 5 games left. I don't think Hyde will be able to take every snap. By my estimation, the number two running back will get some significant carries. Admittedly, I don't know if Hall has a serious injury and will not be back any time soon.

Hall has played twice in four games for a total of 10 carries. Had he been healthy, he would have had a lot more carries than that. Especially against Purdue and Penn State if it was just a slight injury.

I see no indication yet of Hyde being injured. If he does, that's why Elliot and Wilson have been taking the reserve snaps mostly.

Sorry, having trouble editing my posts and just gave up above. I was going to insert "in the first half" after kickoff coverage. More specifically, of was the first five kickoffs if the game before Hall left and was replaced by Josh Perry.

If you have the tape, Hall is either closest or second closest to the sideline on Basil's left. Since BTN doesn't have the overhead camera, you can't see him when they line up but he is identifiable towards the end of the plays.

Hall is the only #7...he and Rod Smith have twice traded numbers this year but that was three weeks ago or so. Vonn Bell had 7 in the preseason but switched to 11 specifically because he and Hall are both on kick coverage.

Damn these number changes keep confusing me lol

I heard they have a lotto machine. Coomb's running the lotto machine. "Shazier's number is.... 10 this week. Philly's number is..... 2." So on and so forth. The linemen are getting pissed cause they are never involved in this event. Mewhort talking to Norwell. Jack.. "Just once I would like to wear the #2 jersey. I got Skills!". Andrew replies.. "They don't have the 2 jersey in our size Jack. Gotta be the reason why we aren't invited." Jack.. "Man! That's just wrong."

Pissed off linemen lead to nasty line play on Saturdays.

I digress.. It is too bad the majority of Jordan's time here has been spent rehabbing from injuries. He certainly is one of the Buckeyes top offensive threats when healthy. He is another quality option that Herman could have and I am sure would like to have at his disposal.

Great that Jordan is getting a 'try-out'. My question is - what is the difference between a try-out and an UDFA contract. Both are 'at will' and can be terminated during a practice. Or is the food chain: 1) tryout; 2) UDFA contract; 3) developmental team; 4) 'making the team' for the year? Anyway, at least Jordan and others gets a shot. Ellie, how do you access the emoticons? Thanks and Go Bucks

He started, what 4 games as a true freshman? He looked terrific in Hyde's absence last year. Just a "pure" football player who had an injury shortened career. In spite of his suspension, a real Buckeye who gave his all on the field.
