RB Jordan Hall (Official Thread)

Good to see Jordan back out there. He looked like he tweaked his knee again on one of those swings. I love the two back look with him and Hyde. Hope we see more of that. Maybe double flares and open the middle up.

What's with Jordan and Rod Smith's number swapping?

Hall was 7 and Smith 2 for 2011-2012-2013 opener.

Then they flip-flopped, ostensibly for special teams reasons.

And vs Iowa it's back to Jordan in 7 and Rod in 2?

No big deal obviously, but interesting to me.

It's because of number conflicts with Special Teams. Can't have duplicate numbers on the field at the same time so to get around that they have swapped.

I feel really bad for this kid. He was quite talented coming out of HS, but was overshadowed, first by his former teammate(terrelle Pryor) and then by a RB that was in the same class(Jamal berry). Yet in his limited carries as an underclass men, played bigger than his actual size. It's sad that his career has been marred by injury, and he never got to live up to his potential, especially in an offense that would suit him very well, being able to catch the ball as well as rush it. He was having a good year this year, and many of us thought he'd share the backfield more with hyde, but yet again it seems like injuries are lessening his impact and may have halted his career, with the emergence of Ezekiel Elliott, and rod smith still playing consistent, it'll be interesting to see what becomes of Jordan. I hope my post is premature, but a chronic knee problem in his 5th year, when were in the middle of our schedule, and the offense improving without him doesn't necessarily bode well. After that Penn st. Game I thought we'd see Jordan even more, but another leg injury can't be too good

Jordan will likely play a big role in remaining games. Hyde will likely be dinged up for parts of them.

What are you basing this on? I wouldn't see the coaches pulling Hyde out unless they're complete blowouts, and even then I could EzE getting more carries. And Hyde ain't coming out against scUM, lol
