'05 KY TE/DE James McKinney (Michigan signee, Louisville transfer)

lloyd carr is what mich football is all about. I thank God everyday we have JT and scum has carr. It couldn't be any better.

I just hope before it's all over Ginn runs back a kick off and strikes a Heisman pose in their endzone.

Strange turn of events during McKinney's L'ville official visit. He was asked to leave early because other recruits on the trip claimed he was "bad-mouthing" the program. Now L'ville is out of consideration, Mckinney said he was leaning toward L'ville.

He has one more visit and it will be either OU, tOSU or Florida.

He now currently favors, scUM, Nebraska and Clemson (other schools he visited).

so he badmouths his michigan visit, talks about how he doesnt want to go to osu because for some reason he thinks they will get probation, then is asked to leave his UL visit because he was badmouthing the program. sounds like a real winner there.

More of the same on his bizarre dismissal from his L'ville visit.

He says it was a misunderstanding. He claims that he did not bad mouth L'ville. The other recruits were claiming that Mckinney was saying that he was headed to scUM. James denies this.

tOSU is still in the running for his last visit. Robbie S. has been trying to explain the MoC stuff to him, that there was nothing to the allegations. But James has yet to discuss with tOSU coaches.

No tOSU coaches have set up an in-home visit with James.

Sounds to me like there is not a great chance for James ending up in C-bus. It also doesn't appear the tOSU coaches are aggressively pursuing him.

the BN story makes it sound like it was a misunderstanding. however, i thought in the original story it said that both some current players and recruits said he was badmouthing UL.

I will say this. UL does need some help on the defensive side of the ball, and this kid would possibly start for them. No way does UL make the top in-state prospect, and possibly their top defensive prospect leave an official visit unless he really did talk some shit.

Good point....the kid sounds like trouble. I say stay away.

Not only did Louisville coaches accuse McKinney of badmouthing the program and encouraging other players not to go there they also asked him if he had been drinking on Friday night and wondered if he was drunk. McKinney vehemently denied the drinking accusations as well as badmouthing Louisville. He said he did say Kentucky was a basketball first state unlike places like Michigan and Flordia but denied all the claims made against him.

Clemson target James McKinney (6-3, 263) of Louisville did not enjoy his official visit to the University of Louisville. “It was terrible,” the defensive lineman said. “They told me to leave. One of the recruits said I was bad-mouthing the program. They told me to get my stuff and leave.”

McKinney also has visited Clemson, Nebraska and Michigan. He will visit either Oklahoma, Kentucky or Ohio State in January.

pretty sure that JG's set to commit then..

Wells, McCoy, Gwaltney , and Mckinney (longshot) are all announcing there

mckinney is now visiting OU on 1/20, so he is pushing back his decision. if i'm a ttun fan, this makes me a bit anxious because if he was sold on ttun, he would announce there.

yea i think our chances are slim to none with James, but I think if he likes what he sees from OU he'll pull the trigger on the visit.. Because he didn't enjoy his scUM visit at all and actually said it was pretty boring; even though Michigan has led the whole through this whole process...
