...but Melvin Aleaze single-handedly helped the Rams rally. The 6-foot-2, 280-pound senior played six positions, as well as kicking and punting, and his interception of a pass by Mumey and 29-yard return set up his 1-yard touchdown run with 3:18 left.

Interesting that tOSU is in final 4 although he did not visit...as pointed out by Duane Long, Melvin also commented that the player he would like to play alongside in college was Rico McCoy...

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is this Saturday on NBC at 1 p.m. Eastern. During the telecast there could be as many as 20 verbal commitments. While in San Antonio, Texas for coverage of the game I had a chance to talk with all the players and here are their finialists.

One of the great things about the U.S. Army All-American Bowl over the previous four games was the players involved in the game made their college commitments during the game. Well, during Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl there will be as many as 20 players that will make their decisions known. Here is a breakdown of who is scheduled to make their commitments this weekend during the game.

“It’s those four. Some people think I am staying close to home but I don’t know.”

i doubt its alaeze since he hasnt even visited osu. plus, hh said the side bet he was refering to was a player NOT in san antonio for the AA game, so perhaps a guy like E.J. Biggers, Eric Sledge or someone like that. He said the 3 are obvious- I can think of Wells and McCoy but thought Gwaltney was an SC silent.

I think Gwaltney or McKinney are the most likely 3rd pick-up of the "tri-fecta".

In recent weeks, Gwaltney and Well's have spoken on the phone about coming to OSU together. It's possible they have hit it off in San Antonio. That could be final factor that pushed Gwaltney in our favor. Boone blocking for him couldn't hurt our chances either. Grant it, I won't be comfortable until we get it in writting.

Jamario O'Neil has been pushing McKinney hard. McKinney did go to the scUM game and we've been consistently near the top of his list for a long time.

I can't see Alaeze coming here without visiting either. The only positive I've heard in months is that he would like to play with McCoy. Doesn't seem like that is enough to swing him our way.

Regardless, if with get 3, I'll be ecstatic. I was going to be giddy with 2. I'm thinking Sledge is the "side-bet" HH spoke of.
