'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

Are they looking for promises of early playing time? I'm not sure they'll get that out of JT. Boone is looking to be locked in at a tackle spot for the next three years. Barton has played well and is only, I believe a RS sophomore so he could have two more years at the other tackle.

I think right now it is best to wait on Aaron to make his decision. We keep talking about George Brown as if Aaron's mother doesn't exist, she will also play a huge roll in the decision making process. Aaron values his mother's opinion a great deal, so I would advise tOSU to focus in on mom and not dad!

great post...people are forgetting that moms, especially Aaron's mom, still carry a lot of influence in where their baby boy is going to end up. I seem to remember Mrs. Ginn having a big say in where Teddy ended up.

I have not seen an update saying they were looking for certain things. By all accounts Aaron and his family have done this process the right way. That being said, Ohio State has recruited Brown hard and done things the right way also. If he decides to go elsewhere, which at this point is not known, it will not be because Ohio State didn't "want" him enough. It will be because Aaron felt comfortable at another school.

If I remember correctly (it was said earlier in the thread), they didn't want a promise for early playing time... they wanted the promise to have the opportunity for early playing time, meaning he's preparing himself to work really hard to play early, and maybe even earn that starting spot. I like that attitude.

The best opportunities for ya are right here in Ohio. Stay REALLY close to home, be part of our family, work with some of the best coaches in college football, great academics, play in front of 100,000+, GREAT jobs after college, GREAT opportunities to graduate to The League, you get to beat michigan for 4 years, and you certainly have the talent to not only play early, but possibly even start (replacing 2 starters after this year, 2 starters next year). You can't go wrong picking Ohio State, bro!

Playing time is important, but Aaron is also interested in the academic program that any school has to offer. I know in previous comments it was mentioned that he was an inner city or urban student that might have difficulty adjusting to ND. When actually Aaron is a suburbanite. Always have been, so with a g.p.a like his combined with talent he'll fit in anywhere.

Aaron will go probably where he fits in as his dad said on many occassions if we lose him at osu it will be a great lost but we will move on good luck to him wherever he goes. Sometimes i wonder do some of us get to personal on this recruiting business about mom about dad Aaron is going to school not his parents so keep the focus on him and only him sheeba And Aaron Go Bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean to get personal, just thought it is important to keep it all in perspective when I mentioned his mom since birth is not possible without one! Go Aaron good luck to you and whatever decisions YOU! make. Let's allow Aaron to enjoy his moment in the spotlight. We will all see if OSU makes the cut in a few weeks when he finishes all his visits.
