'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

I think a lot of people are cooling on Brown, he just recently dropped out of the top 100 iirc, not that that means anything much, just that people seemed to think he would be a complete stud and now are realizing he has the *potential* to be a stud but isn't quite there yet.

I haven't read any of the comments Brown made about Ohio State but it's a shame if he had bad things to say. He would have been a nice kid to get on the team, but it always seemed that his heart was somewhere else and he was just looking for an excuse not to go to Ohio State. Either way, I wish him luck at Va Tech, it will be interesting to watch and see how he does. And as many other people have said, I'd rather have kids who absolutely want to be Buckeyes.

If there wasn't a connection with the staff, he made the right move. Why should he come to OSU and be unhappy when he can go to VT and atleast be friendly with the coaches. I know we are all sad he isn't in the S&G but accept his descion and move on. From everything I have heard he is a good guy.

I'm sure he is a good kid. However, the one thing most recruits who visit tOSU say is how much they liked the coaches and how it is a family atmosphere. Gotta wonder why that connection was never made with him. Possibly came in with a chip on his shoulder....

Best of luck to Aaron. OSU is a better choice, just to state an obvious fact, but VT's okay. Bunch of my friends went there and enjoyed themselves. I hope Aaron does, too.

I certainly see no need to draw conclusions about chips, or attitudes, or character, or anything, just from a few snippets of information here and there. I haven't seen anything that would be considered out of the range of normal behavior for a good kid trying to sort through a ton of information while under a microscope. It isn't as though these families get to practice going through recruiting...

There was no consideration of OSU on Oct. 6, as their was essentially no offer with open arms from OSU to AB as of 2 weeks ago. No communication equals no interest.

The Bucks will be fine. AB will be fine in Blacksburg.

Go Bucks!
