Scouts Grade: 83 '08 Woods re-opens recruiting process
E.J. Woods, who verballed to UCLA along with seven other juniors last weekend, is no longer committed to the Bruins - but also has not completely decommitted from them, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Reportedly, other schools recruiting Woods, such as Ohio State and Miami-FL, urged him to open back up after learning of his weekend commitment. Additionally, Woods must improve his academic standing in order to gain acceptance into UCLA.
Ultimately, the Bruins are still in a good position with Woods. He said, "UCLA stands No. 1. I still have to get into school there, so I have to pick my grades up. If I get into the school, I'm going there. I'm looking at other things just in case. We'll be signing that letter if I'm accepted into the school."
Woods previously cited the importance placed on academics by UCLA and its coaching staff as a reason for his commitment.
