'08 MI RB Jonas Gray (Notre Dame signee)

no PSU as well. That's a shocker.
Yeah, it is because they really need RBs in this class. So there must be more to this that outside observers aren't aware of -- perhaps they have some questions about him that haven't been answered yet because he's been pretty clear about expressing interest in them.

It is still early though; maybe all he needs to do is take a vist to get an offer.

I've said this alot, but I really believe it's true, and that is that he's a better athlete than he is football player. Now if he was the type of football player in HS that Kevin Grady was, with his athleticism he'd have offers from literally everybody.

Like union said, Florida has offered everyone and it's kind of a down year for RB's in the state of FL so they are going to just about every RB they can find and offering him. Gray probably would have a UM offer in most years by now, but UM has their sights set on Sam McGuffie and Darrell Scott.

From GBW...talks about possibly playing with teammate Kenny Demmens. Will visit OSU, PSU, Minnesota, Louisville and MSU in the next few months.

Interestingly, not a single mention of Florida...

Gray ripped off a 4.37-40 (electronic timed) at UM's camp this morning.

This kid is a heck of an athlete, but don't know if it's enough for him to get an offer. UM already knows he's a great athlete, think they have reservations about him as a football player. Not to mention the UM coaches have a target on McGuffie's back. They want McGuffie really bad.

Nah.

McGuffie is coming to Ann Arbor to visit next week after the camp is over.

The offer to Gray was because Gray came into the camp and earned it. They already knew he was a great athlete, but he came in and showed them that he also had some football skills, which is what they wanted to see all along.

If they do get Gray and McGuffie in this class I wonder how much that could hurt UM with the '09 in-state supers at RB- Larry Caper and Hersey Jackson. Caper is 5'11, 190's and Jackson is 6'1, 215. OSU might be able to sneak in there and take one of them. Both of them are loving Michigan, but I have a feeling that one of them is going to wind up giving UM the cold shoulder. Caper is a RB all the way, Jackson might be able to play LB'er as he's a man-child. Jackson is the more physically impressive of the two, Caper is the better natural RB.

Detroit Country Day four-star running back Jonas Gray knows how to make headlines.
Ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 4 running back and the No. 47 player in the nation, Gray is one of the most heavily followed prospects in the country. So it's no surprise when something big happens with him.

From the Nebraska site...favors Nebraska and Michigan State.

FWIW, mentions two in-state LBs who have not been offered by OSU as the best he went up against at OSU's camp (keep in mind Sweat and Torrence did not really participate in the 1-on-1s).
