'08 NY PF Kevin Jones (WVU Verbal)

Rivals.com$ (Brian Snow)

Jones enjoyed his visit to Ohio State and was hosted by David Lighty. Jones will visit Indiana, UMass and West Virginia in the near future. Jones is playing it close to the vest, stating all schools are even at this point but a few have stood out but did not name them. Indications are he will take all his visits and hopefully have a decision in November.

Note: Sounds like Ohio State made an impression....

Jones and his brother discuss his recent visit to tOSU. The visit made an impression on both. Matta was impressive and stated that Jones is his #1 priority. Jones will visit Indiana on Oct 13 and then to West Virigina on Oct 20. Jones will make an official to UMass at some point and states their is not a top five and everything is even at this point.

Note: Regardless of no top five.....OSU seems to be in great shape.

They may leave an impression on him but I feel like his brother will see right through the bright lights and realize where that program is compared to tOSU.

I think tOSU proved that in College BB, a huge recruiting class can turn things around quickly. Indiana's tradition and hungry fanbase are nothing to be taken lightly.

I agree they have the resources to contend just like tOSU, and tradition has an importance in the recruiting process, but lets not forget the lack of sustained success by the Indiana program in recent years.......I doubt Jones will remember the Alford years or the issues with Knight.

Thad Matta vs. Sampson.......not even a contest at this point in my opinion. :wink2:

He doesn't need to remember specific history to know the school has a big tradition.

Matta and Sampson...I'll take Matta also, but Sampson is an excellent coach, recruiter, and motivator.
