These are sophmore highlights, so kid has a lot of time to grow. After watching him the measurables match up and he looks like a man amongst boys out there. At this point just not sure if he will have the speed to be a MLB, and not sure on his reaction times, but when he gets there he will deliver a blow. Honestly I think that with his size as a sophmore he could easily grow into a DE and be a force coming off the edge. Should be interesting to see his growth...

I'm guessing here, but.......... Vince Marrow (former Toledo TE who spent some time in the NFL) lives in New Albany and was formerly from Youngstown (Cardinal Mooney), so I imagince he is Mike's father. Vince Marrow, you may recall, is also the uncle of Maurice Clarett.

The amount of talent in the state this year and the next few is ridiculous. When 50+ players are getting offers from the likes of Nebraska, PSU, and Syracuse.....you know the talent is deep.

I have seen this kid play....hard nosed ball player.

The Columbus Dispatch : New Albany 38, Granville 14: Marrow's 198 yards on ground lift Eagles

FOR THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Michael Marrow called his former DeSales teammates last night after New Albany's 38-14 win over visiting Granville.

He still talks to the guys after every game. He spent his freshman year at DeSales.

Given that his cell phone plan probably offers a provision that allows for free air time on nights and weekends, the soft-spoken New Albany running back could have chosen to be far more liberal in his description of the game.

"I'll probably just tell them we won," said Marrow, whose Eagles face DeSales next week in an early season matchup of unbeatens.

He's more frugal with his words than his legs.

The 245-pound junior tailback ran 26 times for 198 yards and two touchdowns, spearheading an offense that racked up 554 total yards, with 452 of those coming on the ground. The team averaged 9.2 yard per carry, helped by four long touchdowns by four players.

He looked tough. This kid is really something special.

This game with DeSales will be a great one. If New Albany can stick around and keep it close in the first half, they just might be able to come away with a W.

Sherman's field goal wins game of big momentum shifts

The Columbus Dispatch

Hot potato is an age-old child's game designed to develop hand-eye coordination, create cases of the giggles and give teachers and camp counselors something to fill idle time.

Last night, teenagers from DeSales and New Albany took turns throwing around momentum in a high school football game that just might determine which team is seeded higher in the Division II playoffs.

When the ball stopped bouncing and the teams were finished making sensational plays, the Stallions outlasted the Eagles 23-20 on a 38-yard field goal by Mark Sherman with 8.1 seconds left in front of a crowd of almost 5,000 in Alumni Stadium.
