Watching film on this kid, he honestly looks like a young Troy Smith. Good size, strong arm and a sick athlete. Probably a long-shot to get out of Texas, but he lists Ohio State in his top 4 with Texas, A&M and Florida. Obviously a long, long, long, LOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go on this one, but he looks to be one of the top players in the 09' class.

Also worth noting, his cousin in none other than Eddie George.

Eddie's passion runs deep for the Scarlet and Gray. You have to love our chances on this one, when the time comes. I am thinking, if he does come in 2009 and we do get Terrelle Pryor this year, it is as an athlete and we stick him at WR.

If we get Pryor, I doubt many top qb's would come the following year. But I think Sheppard is much further along than Pryor, even though he's a year younger: Better mechanics, better arm, but maybe a notch below athletically.

Pryor's potential is tantalizing, but this kid takes a backseat to no one...
