#1 Southern Cal 21, Oregon St. 27 (Final)

I cheered for Oregon State like crazy in this win regaurdless of what I thought would make us look worse had USC lost.

Bottom line is if we take care of business we'll atleast be in the BCS Rose Bowl.

I'd think USC will fall to around 8-9?

who the hell cares? root for OSU to win their games and root for underdogs. that was fun as hell to watch.
Don't get me wrong. I had a blast watching that game and was pulling for Oregon State, for entertainments sake. I just don't consider this loss a consolation prize of any sort.

Speaking of bad clock management, anyone know why the clock was ticking after McCoy was knocked OOB? I guess it evens out.

There were 3 possible reasons to stop the clock on that play and they didn't. His forward progress looked to be a first down, he went out of bounds, and where they marked it was close enough for a measurement.

But like you said, the refs handed USC about 10 seconds of clock time a couple times earlier in the game (1 was just under the 4 minute mark).

Thanks to ESPN for blowing so much smoke up USC's ass the last 12 days. They had USC's stats side-by-side with some NFL team this morning, and were debating what the spread would be. I had it on mute, so I have no idea what the idiots said.

A lot of football to be played before the next poll comes out. But if PSU beats Illinois, they should move into the top 10, and USC HAS to be placed behind them by anybody with a brain. I would expect USC to drop to around 10, and tOSU won't be helped by this. I wouldn't rank Oregon State, they lost to Stanford and got waxed by the Nits.

I'll tell you, you'll be amazed. One of them (Damon Jones) said that USC would beat the Rams 20-6.

Skip Bayless actually said the right thing and said that the Rams would win a 40ish-10ish game. Sad when Skip Bayless is the voice of reason on ESPN in any situation. Shows the quality of network they are becoming. :!

Yeah, I am. I'd like to think it would be a better game, and maybe if Beanie is healthy, things might go our way.

Bingo. This game just goes to show that some weeks a team shows up, others they do not. The mark of a true champion is consistency......this could be the type of season where everyone has 1-2 losses, except some cheesy mid major. If that is the case, OSU could slide right back up there........esp. with a completely different look than at USC.

It starts this week.........got to take care of a decent Minnesota squad. They aren't too bad IMHO.

Well, unlike alot of the posters here, I will still be rooting for the bucks this week.
