'10 CA QB Nick Montana (Washington Signee; transfer to Tulane)

Where is the evidence that OSU was ever seriously interested in Gardner? Wasn't he essentially told "no thanks" 11 months before signing day?

There isn't strong evidence that they were seriously courting him, but that likely might have been because Nick was their #1 guy, and I think they did what they needed to do to show he was the #1 guy.

Hopefully we can lock Nick up at Spring Game

Question to the Insiders: Nick Montana is the most important guy in this class, right???

I think Nick is important but imo the most important is Joyner. Not only is he an amazing football player but he seems to have that aurora around him that kids just want to play with him. And to bust open that pipeline in Florida even further would be a great asset because I think he helps bring players here, especially if he commits early.

Like 22 said, if ND is the leader their insiders and staff sure aren't aware of it.....

Actually that is the current feeling in both camps. He's also scheduled to be at ND this Spring. The delusional opinion that the elder Montana is opposed to Nick playing for Weis is right there with what was said about the McCartney family. Probably even more so.

I don't know where he is going. But some of the spin coming from OSU "insiders" has been and remains way off.

I don't know where he is going. But some of the spin coming from OSU "insiders" has been and remains way off, according to some, not all, ND insiders.

You have your sources, we have ours. Considering the track record of our guy, I think your way off.

I am sure that Joe does not exactly want to have a public battle over his support/liking of CW. He probably has more class than that, and he has another kid playing for the guy.
