Scout $ - DeAnthony 'DeMolishes' Michigan Showcase

3/1

By The Bank...talks about being at the showcase with all his offers because he loves to compete...talks about what he has been trying to improve...has a top 10 of USC, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa, Cincinnati, Oregon, Tennessee, Alabama and Oklahoma but says that could change.

I get the feeling he is leaving the door ajar in case OSU comes through with an offer...and if they do, I would suspect they would be in the hunt...

Scout $ - Michigan Showcase: The MVPs
By Allen Trieu
Posted Mar 1, 2010

Comments from Trieu, Bill Greene, & Dave Berk... Arnett is named as the WR MVP & praised for his route running as well as his body control... He needs to gain strength, particularly in the upper body, but he impresses with every other aspect of his game...

Deanthony Arnett makes his claim to be Michigan's No. 1 prospect - ESPN

Top Performer

Wide receiver Deanthony Arnett, from Saginaw, Mich. showed up late because of previous commitments but he didn't disappoint. Arnett, who now has 14 scholarship offers, made several big-time plays during the 7-on-7s. Overheard were several high school coaches comparing Arnett to former Muskegon (Mich. ) and current USC wide receiver Ronald Johnson.

For being in the middle of basketball season, Arnett looked exceptionally sharp. He's quick off the line, runs crisp and precise routes and caught everything in sight. With the athletic ability to play on either side of the ball as well as being a difference maker on special teams, the recruitment of Arnett is sure to hit a fever pitch.

"Notre Dame, Michigan State and USC are my top three," Arnett said. "I'm looking at these three schools because they have great academics and they give me a great shot at getting to my goal of getting to the next level. Things have really picked up now so I'm taking my time with things.

"Alabama and Oklahoma are two more schools I'm going to take a hard look at. I'll be visiting Alabama for a spring practice."

As for the Michigan Showcase, Arnett was almost a no-show.

"I had to come because there were too many people talking junk." Arnett said. "I really don't pay attention to message boards or rankings and stuff like that but when it's brought to my attention, I need to have an answer. I need to show up to make sure that everyone knew who was and why I am the No. 1 prospect in the state of Michigan.

"People were talking too much stuff on facebook and I needed to have an answer for all that."

Scout $ - ScoutTV: The Arnett Showcase
By Allen Trieu
Posted Mar 2, 2010

Video from the Michigan Showcase... Arnett is as advertised... His route running & in particular his hesitation move, is special... He has great body control, can cut on a dime, & literally had DBs turning circles... These clips show him beating all of the top CBs that were in attendance...
