How exciting would it be if Atlanta landed the number one and the number 11 pick in the draft.

It is very possible for this to happen, from there they could draft Oden and Conley.

Doesn't Atlanta give one of those choices to Phoenix for the Joe Johnson trade? Mock drafts show Phoenix getting the #4 pick because of that trade.

They have to give it to PHX if it's the 4th, they get to keep the pick if it's the 3rd.

OK, thanks. I've seen a few trades that defer the #1 pick to the next year if it ends up being in the top-3. I'm glad that the Knicks didn't put that provision in the Eddie Curry deal.

But Mr. Dolan, keep extending Isiah's contract, he's doing a great job in NY.

My understanding from what I've heard on ATL radio, and I could definitely be wrong, is that they get to keep it if it's the third pick and that anything else and it goes somewhere else (PHX, NY, or Detroit, I believe).

Fuckin' hawks (intentional lower-case H). Snake bit and deservedly so.

So how soon do you guys think Oden will be the type of player everyone is predicting? Based on this year I think he has a lot of holes in his game and I think those shortfalls will become even more apparent in the NBA. W/o being able to fall back on zone defense every now and then I think Oden will get in foul trouble and be exploiited with the pick-and-roll.

Anyway, I say a solid 3 maybe 4 years before he really starts to assert his dominance (if it happens at all). I make that last comment only because we see people wash out of the NBA all the time. While he appears to be a different player he has a high chance of going to the Celtics and they have a way of ruining talent.

You're assuming they call fouls in the NBA
