Wanted to ask if you think Ryan P. would have made a difference in your season this year?

I have to admit that J. Lee looks bad from what little I've seen of him.

Assuming he would have made it through the entire season without getting arrested:
Short term - yes
Long term - not at all

We probably beat UGA and almost definitely Bama with even slightly better QB play.
We weren't beating Florida even if we had John Elway that night.
Ole Miss handled us pretty good, but RP may have been able to keep up with them on the score board.

But with him around, we'd possibly 10- (9-2 at worst) and the DCs would probably be given another chance. With this season, the bad defense stuck out tremendously, and hopefully translates to a change in coaching on that side.

Spurrier gave the world a blueprint on how to move the ball against Pellini's scheme last year. From that point on, we have been vulnerable.
Pelini was at least able to adjust a bit and keep us in the games.

Furthermore, we find your women to be far too pale. The thought of females wearing pants to football games is shocking and crewd. We demand Sundresses and high heels until the weather drops below 60 degrees.

They look like their going to prom, not a football game. Jerseys and jeans, now thats real football clothing.

What if they're made of construction paper and look about like your avatars? Turn on?

I could live with that, but it would still be awkward. It would be fine if they didn't have pants. I probably wouldn't even notice the paper beard at that point.

I like how there is a discussion about OSU girls wearing fake beards with no pants in the SEC Discussion thread.

Granted, that's a fantastic aspect of being an SEC fan.

However, the thought of having my haircut look like this:

is a very, very strong deterrent.

Also, the only time it is appropriate to wear slacks, a short-sleeve dress shirt and a tie to a football game is if you have white hair, black glasses, and a black "block O" ballcap.

beat us and get scoreboard or S-E-C!

Recent H2H bowl results--
2007: SEC 2, BigTen 1
2006: BigTen 2, SEC 1
2005: BigTen 1, SEC 1
2004: BigTen 2, SEC 1
2003: SEC 2, BigTen 1
2002: BigTen 2, SEC 1

Since we're talking conferences here, that scoreboard really isn't showing a whole lot worth conference-chanting about.

And socially unacceptable below the waist.

I don't see many of those beards at OSU, which explains why that thought didn't even hit me until now.

JWins, no beards above or below the waist, unless they are fake and the girls have no pants. Now it's completely clear.

I agree with you there. Most of the conference does not take football as seriously as the SEC does. I'd say Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan are the exceptions. Even Vanderbilt, who is usually at the bottom of your conference in the standings, is probably a better football school than a lot of the Big Ten. The SEC leads the nation in attendance just about every year for a reason. I'll also give you guys baseball hands down the best conference in the country.

Some would argue Wisconsin is the craziest of the bunch. And you could probably throw Michigan State into the mix at the back end.

I'll give you Wisconsin, but I think Michigan State is questionable. It's a basketball school, with a little football thrown in every 4-5 years.

Well, you don't do the SEC chant when you lose. That would be the "beat us and get scoreboard" part I was talking about.

And as long as we get to use stats, I'll use BCS games only as a representation of the best versus the best.
