2009 Instate Players to Watch

So after watching some scouting Ohio reels, I'm going to say my #1 player in Ohio next year is Chris Fields.

His sophomore wide receiver highlight film is better than most senior wide receiver highlight reels. Reminds me of a Desean Jackson/Mario Manningham type player with room to grow. I'm just trying to figure out why there isn't more hype on him yet.

Right now from VERY limited knowledge, heres my top 6 for 2009... Obviously this will change a TON by the time signing day rolls around.

1. Chris Fields
2. Storm Klein
3. Marcus Hall
4. Desmar Jackson
5. John Simon
6. Derrell Mason

I think we're finally starting to get a glimpse of why a lot of people are noting how Ohio is loaded at the skill positions. Still a lot of dirt to uncover on the top guys, but I havent heard much about any linemen aside from Hall and Simon.

Another name I've heard is Pat White, WR, from Pickerington... Supposedly he had a very good camp at tOSU...

If that is Terance's (senior WR there who lost his junior and senior seasons to knee injuries) brother, that means Pat's father is Terry White, former OSU and WVU safety.

I believe Pat is Terence's younger brother...

BTW, that is Pickerington Central that White plays for...
