Jackson goes to Warren Harding (not JFK). He didn't play football in 2007, but he is strongly considering a return this fall. He is getting a lot of hype in basketball (sereveal offers already on the table), so I don't know if that will have an affect on whether or not he plays football at Harding.

That message was posted last year while he was still at JFK.

I know you like Ashford, as do I, but I have Underwood as the #2 WR in the state...

Lots of talent at the WR spot this year in Ohio, not quite on tOSU level...Duckworth, Ashford, Underwood, Walker, just to name a few...

QB Patrick Nicely from Willoughby South has gotten quite a few offers from schools. He's met with coaches from pretty much all B10 schools and is also getting alot of interest from Boston College, Stanford, and Pitt as of recently.

A couple recruiting sites(rivals mainly) has had him pegged as the top QB for 09 in Ohio and he has performed extremely well at recent camps.

I spoke to him the other day and although his "Dream School" is Ohio State he realizes with Prior now in the fold that is very unlikely.

According to his mom he will probably wait til at least the season starts, and probably not til after his senior season to decide because he's just recently been getting recruited hard by some of the big time programs.

No doubt to me he is the top QB in Ohio in '09 at this early stage. Could a guy like Boucher (Kettering Alter), Gillett (Clyde), Mershman (Bowling Green), Spikes (Woodrow) or Hyde (Fostoria) challenge him for that spot? Definitely. But from what I have seen, heard and read of the combine/camp circuit, Nicely is the guy to beat for the title of top QB in the state.

Unfortunately for him, his Junior season highlights, well there really aren't all that many of them. Went to a few of their games and he really had very little help on the offensive side of the ball. He'd make some really good throws only to have them dropped.

Now his Sophomore season he led the Rebs to the playoffs when they had some fairly good players and he just marched them down the field every Friday night.

Remember watching him against North throw for like 400 yards and a buncha TD's IIRC

Hopefully this year South has some playmakers at WR and RB to take some of the load off...but Nicely has been performing extremely well at the combines to make up for last seasons stat sheets.

Steve Hull

Watch out for this kid...A solid 6'2'', long arms, 4.44 speed, 4.1 shuttle...

My mvp of the camp yesterday...He made a great diving catch in 1 on 1's where he ran a post route and had to lay out to get it...

His only offer is from Akron at the moment...But expect his list to grow to 10+ in the next month...

I would say borderline tOSU material in another year, not this year, but make no mistakes about it, this kid can play and he will be playing somewhere in the big ten or big east...

He blew up yesterday...
