..and there it is.

Chris Fowler finally brings up Gordon Gee's comments. He really is proud of himself too. He somehow thinks he is proving a point by saying something to the effect of "we'll see if the big bad bully from the big ten who took Gordon Gee's team to the woodshed can beat the little sisters of the poor."

What he fails to realize is that he is kind of proving Gee's point in his little tirade. Bringing up that OSU had to play a top 5 team and got beat proves the point that the big ten schedule is tougher than Boise or TCU's schedule.

I hope the plunger factory up in Wisconsin is offering overtime from now until new years. I am almost happy that it is Wisky with the task of grinding TCU into hamburger.

Of course fowler had to take a shot at Gee's comments and invite him to watch the Rose Bowl together. What's that really prove? Other than espin's obvious bias against anything Ohio State.

[censored]ing pieces of [censored].

a couple pages ago someone mentioned that Fowler had Boise ahead of Ohio State on his AP ballot. It is obvious that he is using Gee's comments as his reason for voting and not on the field performance. Here is his ballot:

Auburn
Oregon
TCU
Stanford
Wisky
Nebraska
Arkansas
Boise
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Michigan State

He has two teams with 2 losses ahead of us. That's right folks, Nebraska who lost to a 5-7 Texas team is ranked above OSU on his ballot. Also Arkansas who lost to a 6-6 Georgia team. I am so glad the AP recused themselves from the BCS process. Way too many people with an agenda involved in the AP.

Not only that Fowler took the comment completely wrong. He was saying Gee called Boise State and TCU little sisters of the poor when he called their opponents such not those teams.

If you lose to a Little Sister of the Poor you become one.

I turned the channel after the rankings were revealed. Thanks for reminding me why. I love when the talking heads take personal offense to things that have nothing to do with them, personally. Fowler doesn't work for TCU, and he didn't go to school there, either.

What pisses him off is he's one of the TCU kool aid drinkers who has them ranked so high (even though his AP poll isn't part of the BCS), so anyone questioning their greatness DOES offend him.

What a fucking idiot.

not to derail this thread.....but this is also the reason that I am off the Herbie bandwagon. Instead of using his "analysis" skills to debate Fowler he makes some joke about him being the "The Hammer" and bringing the Hammer to Gee.

This is a situation where Herbie could enter his 2 cents without sounding biased. Instead of joking with Fowler about how his analysis is so hard hitting, he could have said "Hey Chris, I noticed you have two teams with two losses ahead of Ohio State. Nebraska lost to a horrific Texas team and Arakansas lost to a below average Georgia team. Sounds to me like you are holding Gee's comments against the football team." Herbstreit can debate the issue without showing bias towards Ohio State. I mean that is a legitimate topic for discussion. It's not like Herbie would be saying "omgz 111111 Ohio State is by far the best 1 loss team and should replace Auburn in the title game if they lose!!!eleven

Arkansas beat Georgia, albeit with a last minute drive.

But I definitely agree that it would have been nice to see someone represent the other side of the debate. It always amazes me how few of the "experts" on e!spn will even offer a counter-argument to any hyperbole filled praise of the cinderellas.

I thought they lost that game....alas my brain had a fart.
