2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

I'm not counting 1901-1904 no matter who made them "official". The fact remains that the NCAA can retroactively do whatever they want but they have yet to hand them a trophy for it. Your gonna trust the same guys that are letting CAM NEWTON play after his dad pimped him like a whore for hundreds of thousands...no buying it kid.

If its not post AP poll they are garbage...sorry.

Anyways until there is a tournament none of these are undisputable...they are mythical. This year nobody will receive a NCAA Championship Trophy...I mean Alabama added 6 National Titles on their program in 1980...

Those are facts...

I mean damn can we at least recognize titles from the time Cars and Planes roamed our great country...GMAFB with the 1901-1904 B.S.
Dude, the NCAA has never "handed" a trophy to anyone, because the NCAA does not award national championships in football. They do, however, recognize national championships, and they recognize nine for Michigan and seven for Ohio State. If you want to keep living in your bizarro world, then go right ahead ... but if your argument has zero credibility on a Buckeye site, then it's certainly going to be ridiculed anywhere else, especially on a Michigan site.

Wouldn't it be better to accept the facts and learn to deal with them, rather than trying to make everyone else live in your make believe world?

You do have to give him credit, though, he correctly said that this year nobody will receive a NCAA championship trophy.

- In 1901 the Helms Athletic Foundation recognized NCs. They chose Michigan (11-0) who outscored their opponents 550-0. Michigan has 1 title.
- In 1902 the Helms Athletic Foundation recognized NCs. They chose Michigan (11-0). Michigan has 2 titles.
- In 1903 the Helms Athletic Foundation recognized NCs. They chose Princeton (11-0), not Michigan (10-0-1). Michigan still has 2 titles.
- In 1904 the Helms Athletic Foundation recognized NCs. They chose Pennsylvania (12-0), not Michigan (10-0). Michigan still has 2 titles.
- In 1918 the Helms Athletic Foundation recongized NCs. They chose Pittsburgh (4-1), not Michigan (5-0). Michigan still has 2 titles.
- In 1923 the Helms Athletic Foundation recongized NCs. They chose Illinois (8-0), not Michigan (8-0). Michigan still has 2 titles.
- In 1933 both the Helms Athletic Foundation and the Dickinson System recongized NCs. Both chose Michigan (7-0-1). Michigan has 3 titles.
- In 1948 the AP recognized NCs. They chose Michigan (9-0). Michigan has 4 titles.
- In 1997 the AP and ESPN/USAToday Caches recognized NCs. The AP chose Michigan (12-0). The Coaches chose Nebraska (13-0). Michigan has 5 titles.

But since Buckeye fans have a bad reputation, I don't know how much this counts......with research and all.

He had his chance... He made his choice... Now he can live with the consequences

 yea sucks to be on a team that he is going to a 3rd straight BCS bowl with

as opposed to a team that is making their first blow appearance in the same time frame....which is a low 2nd rate bowl

Shit like that is why you never let up on these weasels. It's also why I get so much enjoyment from their misery. :slappy:

I'm pretty sure this isn't really their first go-round in that department.

Notice that Michigan went downhill as a "national power" once Ohio Stadium was completed (1922)? :oh: Woody finished the job, and Tress is hiding the body. :banger:

Michigan's whole advantage in wins is purely the result of what they did in the friggin 19th century.

Even from 1902 to the present Ohio State has more wins and a better winning percentage (we can thank Mr Rodriguez for the recent bump of course).

The skunkbears pretend "dominance" of college football is their greatest delusion. No one is even still alive from the period that Michigan was the elite program in college football.
