2012-13 Big Ten Basketball

This game is just unreal. Butler is playing their hearts out...I almost always want to see the Big Ten triumph but I really respect Butler and their coach. They are about to pull this off with 3 starters fouled out.

Refs turn cowardly as Butler's defender is steamrolled on the way to the basket for a tying lay up. It's either a block or a charge. The notion that it's not a foul is ridiculous.

Yeah, the Butler-Indiana game was a very good college game. But you have to seriously question the hype of IU at this time, as they not only aren't the #1 team in the country, after this loss you ought to believe that they are just one of a handful of teams that could win the Big Ten as opposed to the prohibitive favorite they were made out to be.

I think IU, Michigan, or Ohio State could conceivably win the B1G.

Honestly, after IU's loss to Butler, I might favor the Buckeyes. Just not quite believing in Trey Burke and his surrounding cast.

Bingo. I got criticized for saying the same thing in the Big Ten power rankings a few weeks back.

Have to feel sorry for the mildcats of Northwestern. For the second year in a row, they lose their leading scorer for the season. This year it is Crawford and last year was Coble. Have to put them down with PSU is one Nebraska now.

Regarding the Indiana game, I thought that Zeller looked like he was playing soft and his teammates could not get him the ball often enough. I was hoping that they would stay undefeated until we played them and then we could have taken care of that.

I'm not sold either. I think we're a matchup problem for TTUN. We have the same athleticism at four spots at least. However, we have a length/size advantage at those same spots and reserves who can match that.
