Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly isn't the only Kelly in the family with a cannon arm, as Kelly's nephew Chad Kelly won the national Punt Pass and Kick competition Sunday in San Diego for the fourth year, a record for the competition. cont...
I thought this would be the appropriate thread to post this as I don't think he warrents his own thread.

I found it interesting that he is listing interest from schools like tOSU, UF, Miami (FL). The past two years he played for Red Lion in York, PA. Kid is a tremendous talent I watched him play twice and my brother played against him in his last game this season. If he can get his head on right, was dismissed from the team in both his freshman and sophomore seasons, I would love to see if he can follow his uncle(Jim Kelly) to the NFL.

Same HS as 6-star and Dorsett...

Tacoi Sumler, Ryan Shazier and 2012 prospects highlighted the Under Armour Miami combine. - ESPN

DE Jelani Hamilton (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./ Saint Thomas Aquinas)
Saint Thomas Aquinas is a program with plenty of excellent 2011 prospects, but in attendance was also a promising prospect for next year. Hamilton was a good looking kid physically who caught our eye. He has a frame to keep adding bulk and did well in one-on-ones by showing good power and the ability to use his hands.

Rivals $ - 2012 Lineman Already Staying Busy
Mark Pszonak of ScarletNation.com (Rutgers Rivals site), Mar 3, 2010

Stands 6'5" 260 and discusses his experiances at a few of the camps he has attended recently, the Lineman Challenge and the Premier Showcase, both held at Rutgers. Has been receiving steady interest from Ohio State, Temple, Rutgers, Maryland, Iowa and Purdue thus far. Also plays baseball. Teammate of 2011 ATH Miles Shuler, who also showed an early interest in Ohio State.

Planty of other updates about Brodie that list him as a definite player to watch for 2012 and possible top OL target. Most say he still needs to fill out his frame, but he has all the tools to be a top recruit.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Young defensive tackles lead East Lansing event

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Rivals.com Five-Star Academy hit East Lansing and Michigan State University on Saturday. The event, which took place in the brand new Skadalaris Football Comples, offered an early look at a pair of Catholic school prospects in Michigan that figure to make noise in the class of 2012.

Matthew Godin from Detroit Catholic Central and Danny O'Brien from Flint Powers Catholic were two of the best looking prospects at the event. Godin is 6-feet-5 and 255 pound defensive tackle. O'Brien is a stout 6-feet-2 and 265 pound interior defensive lineman. .

Both prospects said recruiting is already getting started.

"Michigan State invited me to their spring game and practices," Godin said. "Northwestern also invited me to their camp."

"I have been getting letters from Ohio State and Cincinnati to come to their one day camp," O'Brien said. "I sent out my highlight rape and got some stuff back from Nebraska, Virginia, and Illinois."

Both players pointed out their dream schools.

"Michigan for sure," Godin said. "Also Michigan State and Iowa."

"Ohio State and Iowa are my two dream schools," O'Brien said. "I like their programs, fan bases, coaches, and the fact that both are stable programs. And they get their lineman out there."

Glenbard West (Ill.) 2012 product Tommy Schutt also attended. The 6-feet-3, 302 pound prospect reports an early offer from Illinois. He lists Michigan State, Northwesters, Iowa, Purdue and Duke as other schools that are actively recruiting him. He plans to camp this summer at Ohio State and Iowa.

They should of had someone proof read how they typed O'Brien's statement.

Note to self.......don't hire rivals to do my PR.

I love what he had to say other than the obvious typo, considering we are his dream school along with Iowa.

Given our coaching staffs tendency to go after taller defensive lineman does he have the extra skill to make up for his height? I guess he also has plenty of time to grow, he already looks like he can bench press a house. He looks like he wants to eat you.

lol "highlight rape" wow and I though "comples" was bad... lets hope thats the last time "rape" and "O'Brien" are in the same article...

In addition that lineman Felix Fowler at 6-6 330 is from the same school as 2011 commit "pewee" and already lists Ohio State as a potential dream school. That is a big ole OL recruit to be sure.

Likely one of the top RBs in the south, if not the nation, next year...

College football recruiting -- 2012 RB Matt Jones impresses at Irish Future's Camp - ESPN

One of the most impressive players in attendance was Class of 2012 running back Matt Jones (Seffner, Fla./Armwood). The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder is well built with a powerful lower body. It's easy to see why he already holds verbal offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
