We did and we're still #4. Keep in mind we still have three fewer commits than Michigan and the number of players a school has committed largely factors into Scout's scoring system for class rankings.

Perhaps the best part about all of this recruiting success is that it's while we're on probation. Who does that??? Mind you, of course it would be nice not to be on probation, but if you are...ya might as well outrecruit everyone else in the land. (Bama, Texas excluded...perhaps)

Agreed. They're mainly based on numbers multiplied by the subjective ranking of each player. That's why teams that oversign tend to be ranked near the top.

Next year, with a smaller class, OSU will probably be ranked a little lower even with potentially better quality talent.

I could see having O'Connor as a 3 star left tackle, but to list him as a guard and be 3 stars? Those sites don't exactly have the best consistency in their rankings so in the end, top 5 class is about as good as you could ask for.

Meyer not only is addressing all of our positions of need, but he's filling them with the best players out there. Truly amazing.
