Mario Ojemudia out for season with Achilles injury

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan senior Mario Ojemudia suffered an Achilles injury over the weekend that will end his season and college career, coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday.

Ojemudia was in the midst of a breakout season as the rush linebacker for a unit that is ranked second in the nation in scoring defense. He is currently third on the team with 19 tackles and produced six tackles for loss and two sacks in the first five games of the season.

The Detroit-area native played during his first three seasons and is far enough into his senior year that he won't be able to preserve a year of eligibility.

This is a pretty gigantic injury. They roll up with a trio of DTs or SDEs and need their buck position to make a lot of plays. They were very thin at this position before his injury.

Michigan is going to be our toughest regular-season game.

Say what you like about Harbaugh, the MF can coach. The Wolverines look entirely different this season.
It may be the toughest, but due to where the game is played. MSU is still the better team imo. We'll find out for sure when they play in a couple weeks. MSU being home and UM away may be enough to make that a tougher game, but even then I'm not sure. We'll know way more in a couple weeks just how good each team is. I'm still not completely sold on UM. Due to their offense. The defense is legit.

If there's

one thing you can count on the nerds for, it's peeing down their leg when you really want them to win. scum will roll because nerds gonna nerd.

If they were in the ZOMGSEC West this would be 2 top 10 teams with high level defenses playing a crucial game.

As it is you have 2 fringe top 25 teams with terrible offenses and solid defenses squaring off in a Tressel Strap match to see who can pin the other guy deeper with his punter.
