2016 CFB Conference Championship Week Open Thread

Again proving Urban Frickin' Meyer is a damn genius! SOS ~ SOS ~ SOS ~ SOS ~ SOS.

Did I mention Strength of Schedule?

It's comical how Buckeye fans are arguing with me for doing something other than wave pom poms.

I'm born and raised in Ohio, and graduated from the fucking school, so spare me the "holier fan than thou" horse shit.

But what I'm not is a blind homer. I would put Ohio State in the CFP - I repeat, I would put Ohio State in the CFP. But it would be stupid and/or naive as hell to think it's a lead pipe lock, without question. Believe it or not, there are people outside of Michigan who are NOT Buckeye fans, and they may not see OSU as the "lock" we see them.

We'll see tomorrow.

The Pac-12 was represented in 2014. Oregon played in the NC. The Big-12 was left out that year. So, it wouldn't be any different than the Big 12 bitching about being left out. OU has a better SOS and a de-fact-o Conference Championship

Yes, but the Pac-12 was left out last year. This would be two years in a row with no Pac-12 and twice in three years with no Big XII.

But this year as far as politics go, the committee would have to leave out both the pac12 and the big12. I know Oregon was in 2 years ago duh.

I know you do...sorry didn't mean to sound condescending. Everyone has said the B1G is the best conference this year. There has always been a chance 2 B1G teams would go. I think after last year, with the Michigan St. debacle they will think twice about Conference Champs.

Sarcasm aside, this may be the biggest BP understatement of all-time ie the Buckeye hatred across the nation is second to none. Yes Virginia, greater than the hatred for 'bama because who the hell cares about the regressive state of Alabama.

ok, ok, the people of Alabama care about their "dynamic" state.

And as FDR said quite eloquently, we welcome their hatred!

I totally agree, I just know with the money involved, politics will always be at play. Agendas will be at work. I'll be shocked if they give the B1G two teams purely on politics. I think it also helps us though because our fans travel and we bring tv ratings. Facts are facts it matters.

I mean, at this point, at the very least the B1G game showed we have very strong teams. It was a better game than the ACC because both teams were evenly matched.

What's done is done. Either they can look at it like this: PSU owns the H2H, 2 ranked wins and a really great comeback in the B1G
Or: OSU's only loss is better than Washington's or Clemson's. We have an amazing SOS and played in the best game of the year...heck decade. And won.
