2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Beat Illinois!

So ped / Iowa / Sparty / Illinois / TTUN / Wisky ~ just wondering if the Buckeyes have ever had a (6) game stretch like this? And yes, Urban has had a positive effect in the B1G upping its game. IOW the Buckeyes wouldn't even be in the conversation if the B1G as a conference hadn't upped its game. So thank you UFM!

Remembering the Woody/Bo '70s of the Big 2 and the little eight. I digress.

Some of you have forgotten about georgia's ability to self-destruct at the end of the season. They still play Kentucky and GT, and those SHOULD be gimme's.. but lets see how they respond to getting their faces smashed in last week. Them dropping another game or even two before the SEC title game would do a lot to keep the SEC from getting 2.

SEC getting 2 scenario is really only if Bama loses

There are plenty...the entire '05 schedule comes to mind. Or '06 where we played the #2 team three times. Our schedule this year is light years easier than last year in every respect other than tsun is away.

If UGA flops to either Kentucky or Ga Tech.....then happens to beat Bama in the SEC title game it puts the committee in a rough spot.

UGA would fall quite a bit in the poll for losing to a mediocre team not ranked in the top 25. Would be hard to justify jumping them ahead of a handful of other teams into the top 4 just cause they happen to eek by Bama.

Then can you really justify putting Bama in over a team They just lost their conference title game to? Even though theyd still have 1 loss instead of 2.

Obviously reading comprehension is not your strong suit as the question was (6) game stretch like this?

Rephrasing er narrowing my own question ~ 2014 (3) game stretch: Wisky #11 / 'bama #1 / Oregon #3.

Isn't the ACC getting both one-loss conference champion Clemson and one-loss conference title game loser Miami in far more likely and far more of a concern than a two SEC team scenario?

Miami loses ACCCG, doubtful they get in. Resume wouldn't be good enough.
Miami beating Clemson in ACCCG should remove Clemson from the equation.

I don't buy into that BS about forgiving the loss to Syracuse because the QB was injured. An L is an L. Shoulda' beat 'em anyway with the talent on that team.
