2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Folks are already saying Clemson in win or lose...

Also
if Okie loses Bama is in for them.

Our favorite Schiano reporter is saying if Miami wins both Miami and Clemson are in.

I don't see how. They have that win over Auburn, but what else really? A loss to Syracuse and no conference title in the loss scenario.

I don't the the committee ever putting in a non conference champion over a conference champion with the same record.

The 1st bowl game I remember, not sure I watched it, was the 1965 Cotton Bowl Arkansas 10 - Nebraska 7. Arkansas' only NC. Years later learned Jerry Jones, Jimmie Johnson and Barry Switzer were on the roster.

IIRC the 1st bowl game I watched start to finish was '69 Rose Bowl.

I digress ...
I probably should have noted that I was 5 months old for the game. . . but my dad watched all the games with me as a recent grad, and my mom was still in school. :)

Of course they had to leave Mississippi State ranked and put Fresno State in to make Alabama's weak schedule look better.
Right. And, ranking are imperfect, of course. I mean, you have to bet your entire life's saving, house, etc. straight up... Fresno State v. Michigan. Just saying, it's pretty transparent what's going on.

Oh well. It'll all go down the way it goes down.

2 ACC teams in the playoff would be tragic. Arguably the worst power 5 conference this year. Clemson and Miami have basically been cruising through conference play of schlubs minus their crash and burns to crap teams.

I can live with getting "left out" or even 2 SEC teams......But 2 ACC teams in there would put a major sour taste in the mouth when it comes to this whole playoff thing.

I actually think Auburn being ranked second should be a good sign for Ohio State. They are showing they will look past two losses if you have the wins to back it up.

Bottom line is listen to No One when it comes to a team losing this final week and staying inside the top four. If Alabama who has ruled college football for the past 10 years more or less can fall from 1st to 5th with their first loss then what the hell do you think they are going to do to one of these teams who may lose this weekend?

The only conference that may get two teams is the SEC and only because Alabama is sitting there with one loss. So Clemson with 2 losses can enjoy their Christmas well the Buckeyes go to the playoffs.

I swear to God how do some of these college analysts even have a job?

At the end of the day this team is nowhere good enough to be in the playoffs. Beating Wisconsin is a toss up, as beating scum would be in serious doubt if anyone other than O'Korn was playing. We would lose big to Oklahoma, Clemson and probably Auburn

Seriously. Fresno lost to UNLV AT HOME yet Michigan gets punished for losing to 3 Top 10 teams and one Top 20 team?
