2019-2020 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

WVU and UC are the two nonconference opponents for OSU that I thought might be a lot better than the casual fan might expect. I do think WVU should pose a stiff challenge for OSU.

I agree. WVU should be ranked when we play them. Really like the McCabe and Matthews Jr combo on the perimeter and the Culver and Tshiebwe combo inside. Kaleb vs. Tshiebwe is going to be a fascinating match-up.

Gotta start questioning Mike White's coaching ability. He beat Coach Holt for several top recruits over the past 2 classes, yet the Gators seem to struggling in spite of having a ton of wins on the recruiting trail. They lost a lot of games last year in spite of having a pretty good group of players, and now that they lost a couple key cogs off last year's team they are stumbling out of the gate.

I found it odd that Mike White's Gators didn't call timeout when they easily could have late in the game. They had the ball down 1 with under 30 seconds left, and let Nembhard try and force a drive for 2 and he missed the shot. Then they get the ball back down 3 and even after a timeout let Nembhard try the same drive which he again missed the shot in. Keyontae Johnson then passed the ball for a turnover instead of taking the shot on a kick-out for a top of the key 3 in the final seconds. Florida is now 2-2. I guess they are gunning for a 10-seed again.
